Hotel Transylvania UHD only provides HD UV rights

Hotel Transylvania UHD only includes HD UV rights with purchase. Can this please be corrected to provide UHD rights? I only spent 17.99 on VUDU for the UHD upgrade, because the film clearly has a UV logo present.

I'm honestly wondering if the UV issues are an indication that Vudu is moving away from/investing less in UV support.

Wouldn't be surprised if Vudu eventually goes MA only. Probably just waiting for Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate to come on board. Once that happens, Vudu can drop UV and the little studios will have no choice but to jump to MA.

Vudu is the only thing keeping UV alive in the US right now.

Yup. I've been saying I see UV gone or sold to MA by year's end, or next. Titles are becoming less and less, or Vudu doesn't add the rights when the slips clearly say it's UV. I wouldn't mind this so much if MA would work out all of their issues, but it seems when they fix one, 4 more pop up.

I've generally had good luck with MA. And whenever I've had an issue, it's always Vudu/MA thing. Vudu support defaults to "it's MA's problem," whereas when MA points at Vudu they usually have backup showing why.

MA support is also way faster than Vudu.

I filed a ticket about a missing movie in MA (incomplete port) that had to get escalated to the upper tier support. I was told 24-48 hours for turnaround. The issue was resolved about 10 minutes after I got off the phone. Compare that to Vudu's upper tier support which can take 2-3 months to resolve Instawatch issues.

Can a VUDU rep please comment on this issue? It still only provides HD rights for an UHD purchase. There's nothing on the page that would indicate that UV rights are limited to HD.

Studio has designated HD UV rights only at the moment. We are in the process of asking if they will allow UHD. Will let you know once I hear back from them.

I think they mean that there is no 4K support through moviesanywhere.com. If you use the official MA app, you can't watch in 4K. So the 4K is not really a feature of MA so much as it is a feature of MA retail partners.
