    Heathers Episode Deleted By VUDU

I had the pilot episode of Heathers in my TV collection, but VUDU has deleted it from my library.

    https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...?scrollPos=165

Why was this deleted? and when will it be returned to my library?

I still own the pilot at Amazon and iTunes, so why did VUDU actually delete content from a user library? Is this going to become normal for VUDU to pull content without even letting the users know?

I tried to watch this on Amazon last night, they seemed to have removed the first episode and all of the trailers? What's going on with this series?

The show was shelved, it possibly may never air (unless some other company picks it up). The pilot was pulled after Paramount Network decided to cancel the show. Of course if you already purchased the pilot, it should remain in your library at the retailers you acquired it from.

That sucks!! I loved the movie, and though the series was different (character wise), the trailer made it look dark and funny. I was really looking forward to it!

I'm reading it was canceled by Viacom, and won't air on any of their networks, yet they (Viacom) are working to find another network for it? If they care so much to find a new network for it, why do they not want it aired on any of THEIR networks?

Edit: I now see why they pushed it back twice, which I can understand, but why say no to airing it on any of their other networks? It's odd that it would have been on Paramount Network to start with. I know they changed from Spike, which was focused mainly on manly shows, but even after the switch did anything else change? I would have thought if anything they would have wanted it on VH1 or MTV or even Logo.

Unfortunately the show airing too close to two different school shootings, combined with the show having very edgy dialogue and scenarios killed the show. I actually was looking forward to their season 2 plans, which I read would be set in a different time. Ultimately the show was made to offend everyone with it's dark comedy, but I actually liked it because that's very much what Heathers is. Paramount has basically washed their hands of the series though, refusing to air it on any of their networks.

I managed to find the Pilot and was able to watch. Such a shame it was canceled, though I'm surprised any cable channel would even pick it up with the language and killings by/to students. I hope someone else picks it up, but I don't see any network picking it up... unless it were to move to Netflix or Hulu as an exclusive. I don't see why Viacom don't just release the first season to digital streamers, let people who want to own it buy it. They make some money without having to put it on their networks. :\

Any update on when this will be fixed? It's been a week. I hope it goes back up as free or episode to buy just so I can own the episode. Maybe Vudu can get the full season?

Seems as though Viacom sold the series internationally, they seem to still be trying to find a US home for it. Both Netflix and Freeform passed.

Now that Paramount Network is back to airing the entire season later this month, will Vudu get the series added back, and if so, will it be the original episodes, and not the "watered down" version?

VUDU will be selling the season, but no idea if the content will be censored or not. In the meantime, VUDU deleted my pilot episode and bonus feature again...., so those worried about iTunes should realize VUDU does it too.

VUDU, you deleted my pilot episode again. Please put it back, I really hope this doesn't become normal for content to be removed from our libraries.
