    Lean On Pete Missing UV

Lean On Pete is missing UV at Vudu. Can you please get this fixed?

Here are some other recent codes that show UV on the disc cases and code inserts, or would typically be UV, but aren't giving UV at Vudu yet...

An Ultraviolet retailer should have no trouble tagging a new release UV movie as UV within their own system. It has now been 9 days since the film's disc release on 7/10. This likely could have been tagged PRIOR to release, so for this to still not be set up properly 1 1/2 weeks post-release is disturbing. Looks like I'll continue to sit on my code a bit longer until eventually things get synced up...

I hardly ever even bother contacting support any more. Too much of a headacheeadache. Vudu always wants a receipt to even reply even when I'm just reporting a bug. Then they just blame the studio. And the studios usually blame Vudu.

After ~2 1/2 weeks this is still not UV at VUDU. Again, the back side of the film's packaging clearly states that it is Ultraviolet.
Not Digital HD --> Ultraviolet. Can someone please take a few moments to reach out to Lionsgate and / or Ultraviolet to get this taken care of? Given that UV hasn't much time left, I don't want it to completely die out with titles like this still not yielding the UV rights that they are supposed to. This is a bigger concern with each passing week as we inch closer to Movies Anywhere domination.

Give Lionsgate a call @ (310-449-9200) and address your concerns with their customer support personnel.

I am skeptical about that paying dividends / whether Lionsgate has the clout to fix the issue. They haven't been able to get VUDU to add their missing 4K movies like Kick-A**, Patriot's Day, Warm Bodies, The Cabin in the Woods, Snitch, Red, Red 2, etc., so I'm super doubtful that a call to Lionsgate is going to pay dividends. I'm very nervous that UV will go kaput before VUDU puts forth the effort to add these titles in 4K so I can redeem the digital copies that I've been sitting on for what seems like forever. The same goes for many missing Universal and Sony 4K titles that are available elsewhere, but not @ VUDU. Not all of this is on the studios. VUDU needs to get passionate about what they do and step things up.

It also isn't be my responsibility to babysit VUDU and / or the studios when it comes to doing what is right. This kind of stuff should be getting done without any frustration / irritation taking place on the customer end of things. I've had so many problems with VUDU customer support over the past 2-3 years (most in the realm of D2D or MD2D), to the point where I've been strung along / lied to about the truth of things / what is really going on. They tend to blame studios / UV when things aren't working properly, but the studios / UV like to point the finger back at VUDU whenever I've tried contacting them. It isn't worth the hassle of contacting anybody at this point. I just want people to do their jobs and do right by their customers without giving them hoops to jump through or a hard time.

Has anyone from VUDU chimed in on a update as of yet? NO!!! So if you expect VUDU to step up..you'll be old and grey before then. lol

Absolutely agree about VUDU's willingness / quickness in handling situations like these. Vudu never chimes in on / makes an attempt to correct most situations like these, which is a massive problem that most knowledgable people are familiar with. I really don't have anywhere else that I can go to get these matters dealt with, due to VUDU's general lack of passion / wantonness to fix general customer problems like this one. As I said before, when contacting the studios they usually point you right back to VUDU. It's a cycle of uselessness.

That said, I can't see Lionsgate telling VUDU how to program a website that isn't their own. I keep going back to the fact that Lionsgate hasn't been able to / willing to pressure VUDU into adding several of their 4K titles that have been out for months. I'm almost certain that I'll get a pass-the-buck, canned, we-can't-do-anything response, but I may still give LG a call later today.

All I can say is and I've said it once before...you won't see me beg VUDU to add nothing. If they can't step up their game willingly without the need of peeps in this forum begging and pleading for this and that, people just need to go elsewhere. This is what I have done. FN is on top of this UHD thing adding new and catalog titles on a regular basis. They have been getting my $$$ and will continue to in the future. Also getting titles for iTunes and Amazon as well when the price is right. Now I will from time to time redeem a code in UHD here for UV rights. FN will re-push UV rights for titles that don't go through on their own. So while people are begging for titles to be added here, I'm happy to say, I've already watched it over there!!!

Lionsgate will sometimes take the lead in getting these fixed if you contact them enough and add photos, screenshots, etc. But HBO tells me to take the problem to Vudu every time.

I called and left a message with Lionsgate explaining the situation, but I also haven't received a response from them in what has now been 6 days. It seems rather apparent that neither party (VUDU or Lionsgate) gives much of a crap about doing what's right. Why advertise UV redemption for a film and then not go the (not-so) extra mile to ensure that is exactly what customers end up receiving? Both VUDU and Lionsgate don't have to work all that hard to take care of tiny, rather insignificant things like this, but apparently neither of them will. I am strongly considering whether it is time to spend more of my time and money with Apple. I simply don't have the patience, time, or energy to play VUDU's numerous, lazy, and uncaring reindeer games anymore, nor should I (or anyone else for that matter) have to. Look at the list of titles in the OP that have not been updated properly, many of them for months. If no one can make VUDU and / or the studios take note and do what's right by customers, it's not worth the hassle of being their customer.

I spoke with two Lionsgate reps on separate phone calls today regarding this issue and was told by both of them that Lionsgate is no longer granting UV rights for new titles. I explained that the packaging for Lean on Pete directly STATES Ultraviolet redemption on the back, but they continued to insist that UV rights are no longer being issued for new titles.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? It seems unlikely that two different reps on separate phone calls would state the exact same thing if it isn't true, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was given bad information.

If the reps were correct, it makes me wonder if the plethora of Lionsgate 4K titles that are STILL not redeemable in 4K at VUDU will be able to be redeemed for UHD UV rights. 70% (9 of 13 titles) of unredeemed 4K codes that I've been sitting on are from Lionsgate 4K movies. There are going to be a lot of upset customers who have patiently waited for VUDU to take care of this for months (over a year for some films) if their codes can't be redeemed as intended. VUDU's slow-play attitude with regard to adding these films has been beyond ridiculous. It doesn't appear to be Lionsgate's fault, as they have repeatedly stated to customers to wait for VUDU to add them.

I don't believe those reps as they don't support MA either. How could they not support both digital locker systems?

They are stating that any new titles as of July 17th doesn't get UV. Though they haven't joined MA. So you get no multi-store digital locker rights for Lionsgate anymore.
