Deadpool 2 Missing Dolby Atmos audio

I was so excited to see Deadpool 2 available fo purchase in UHD, but before I buy, can someone confirm that Dolby Atmos is indeed missing (as the specs say there's only Dolby Digital Plus 5.1)? If it is missing, will it be added shortly? Can content team please comment on this? I love Atmos mixes, it would suck for it to be missing on movies as big as these.

Does Vudu have any HDR10 movies available in Dolby Atmos? Seems like only Dolby Vision movies have Atmos.

Well, they do have Forrest Gump in HDR10 with Dolby Atrmos audio (the disc version has Dolby Vision, and it's available digitally in Dolby Vision at iTunes), but perhaps that's an unintentional combination?

Other than that, no HDR10 only content has Dolby Atmos on VUDU, something that has yet to be addressed by content team on the forums. Fox is HDR10 only, so it would suck to never see Atmos content at VUDU if that is indeed a limitation.

Fox does not yet provide Dolby Atmos sources. Once they do, we of course want to offer it!

          Hi Jake,

It seems they provided Dolby Atmos to Apple, they have Deadpool 2 and The Greatest Showman in HDR with Dolby Atmos from what I've watched. I watched them both today, and what's even better is you don't need to have 4K to get the Atmos mix (I don't own Deadpool 2 in UHD yet). Hopefully this is something VUDU can implement. I'm on the beta, but the Atmos mixes are available to anyone who signs up for the public beta. Hopefully VUDU can get these same mixes from the studio, they sound awesome.

Fox has added Atmos mixes to War for the Planet of the Apes and Maze Runner: The Death Cure to iTunes. Hopefully VUDU can get these 4K transfers with Atmos as well. But most importantly, updated Deadpool 2 since it's in 4K now at VUDU.

It looks like iTunes has a bunch of Fox Atmos content now. The first Deadpool, Logan, and many more. These would be awesome to have on Vudu.

                Jake

It looks like iTunes has added Atmos to all their Fox UHD content that has mixes, can you please check with the studio in acquiring Atmos mixes for VUDU? Thank you. Also, The Greatest Showman in UHD at VUDU with Atmos would be awesome.

I'm glad I watched it while it was still Atmos audio. I thought the video quality was very poor though.

Fox does not use Dolby Vision, only HDR10. The Atmos mix has returned to iTunes. Hopefully VUDU content team can provide update on this now that we've seen Fox does indeed provide Atmos mixes for digital.

It's only the Super Dooper cut that went from Atmos to 7.1. The regular cut of Deadpool 2 is still Atmos audio.

Deadpool has a 2K DI while the first movie is a 4K DI. I watched it on iTunes and thought the video quality was fine. It wasn?t reference material.
