It should be on all TV/BD players/consoles except possibly Samsung (which should be added soon) or Xbox (which will not be until the app UI is updated... and no, I don't have an ETA for that, sorry...)

Cool! I validated the option was there on my PS4, but haven't checked my PS3 yet. Glad you all took the time to implement this.

I've always hated that expression, and wholeheartedly call BS in its general direction. Prior to HD and hand-held fare, directors filmed things knowing darned well that they'd be seen in all their cinematic glory, complete with film grain, softer edges, etc. Makeup on the actors was knowingly subdued by the film, giving them a different appearance without any hint of it being fake. I could go on, but I'll assume you're aware of these things and more, being a fellow film buff. My point is simply that 4K strips all those elements away, ruining the cinematic effect and leaving us with something sterile and ugly.

480-1080p: The 20-something hot-bodied dancer on the platform you're cheering-on while guzzling brewskies and hoping she notices you and thinks you're awesome (and not just some drunken buffoon).

4K: The wrinkled old crone you discover she really is when you follow her backstage and see her peel away all the layers of costume and makeup.

I'm not anti-4K; I merely discovered, after having gotten all excited by the it and jumping too quickly on the bandwagon with my checkbook, that it was vastly over-rated, and in many cases detracted instead of enhanced the viewing experience. If you're into sports, nature or live performances, however, it is indeed breathtaking. (Also, for what it's worth, it has absolutely no effect on animated material, but I'm sure the pr0n industry will be booming once that crowd realizes what it can do for them.)

Eventually I may, just not in the near future.

Actually not as much as you might think, but then I work for the company that makes them.

But even if I had to buy it at street price I'm an early adapter. I'm been in the CE manufacturing business for decades.

Wont ever have a UHD option on thhe ps3 since it cannot handle hdr, p3 color, nor 2160p resolution.

Would love to be able to see what movies can be bought. Rented, or upgraded from non UHD devices. Hopefully that happens soon!

That sucks for loyal customers who have massive libraries with VUDU in the prior highest quality HDX. To have to pay full price to upgrade to UHD (APPARANTLY 29.99), essentially re-buying your movies, is an insult. There should be an upgrade fee from HDX TO UHD. $5- $8 bucks seems appropriate.

Not that it would be nice.

But many of us had to pay for albums, cassettes, CD's, and in some cases MP3's.

Likewise VHS, laserdisc, DVD, Blu-Ray and in some cases VUDU SD and HDX.

The original question I answered was if a setting to choose a default streaming quality was available on all devices - that is on Tivo as well. But I'm not sure that's what you meant...

I believe they were wondering if the Vudu app for TiVo will/does support 4K on the TiVo Bolt, which is capable of 4K UHD.
