VUDU needs to start acknowledging Chromebook Users!

Overall I really love using VUDU for my digital movie life. I've built a pretty big digital library and even bought the VUDU Spark to use on my TV (it seems to work better than using a Chromecast). My only issue (and it's a big one) is VUDU still isn't a great option if you own a Chromebook.

First, I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 with a beautiful 1080p IPS display, but I can't watch my movies in HD or HDX. This is such a waste of a great screen. I've heard VUDU is working on this? But I've been hearing this for a long time.

Second, there is no option on a Chromebook (since you're accessing the VUDU website and not the App) to download your movies for offline viewing. I don't quite understand why this isn't possible. You can download movies on Google Play so it seems VUDU could totally do this if they wanted to.

As Chromebooks continue to gain popularity I really hope VUDU addresses the shortcomings of trying to use their product on this platform. All I really want is to be able to watch my library in HD and be able to download them for offline viewing. Let's make this happen VUDU!

I also use Vudu frequently and have started to acquire a significant digital library. I agree that Vudu needs to fix these issues for Chromebook users. I know I still have difficulty choosing which digital provider to redeem the digital copies from my blu-rays with and as a result which provider I purchase additional movies from. I don't know why these seemingly simple fixes haven't been addressed.

I also have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) with a great full HD display and can't watch my HD Vudu movies on it. Vudu needs to address this issue to at least allow for HD playback through the browser on the Chromebook or (and preferably) create an app to support HD playback and offline download capabilities.

Another Toshiba Chromebook 2 user that loves his device and loves VUDU but is seriously disappointed with you for not correcting this glaring weakness.

When more users see the benefits of Chromebooks these numbers will rise faster. Everyone I let use my Chromebook loves it and the light goes on. I had a premium laptop and never fully utilized it so a Chromebook was an easy change.

I make a concerted effort to buy Blu Ray discs that include streaming rights and I plan on buy better Chromebooks in the future; I suggest VUDU make this happen and soon.

So this issue should be mostly solved as soon as Google brings the Play Store to supported Chromebooks as you will be able to run the native Android Vudu app and should be able to download but not sure if the Android app supports HDX playback.

Looks like the update should be out for all Chromebooks perhaps?

Can anyone confirm whether or not this new release allows for the VUDU Android app to work on a supported Chromebook? If so, I may be buying a new Chromebook
