Chance that films with existing HD masters get upgrades?

I was wondering if mods could chime in on this one...
What is the chance that a film which currently has an SD-only master on Vudu will get an HDX master in the future if it's currently available on other services in HD?
Do we have to wait for vudu to re-negotiate the terms of the contract for that film?
There are several that I would like to purchase but I don't want to do it if it's SD and available elsewhere in HD.

Sorry, not a mod. I haven't seen this happen very often, only once in my case. Recently "Karate Kid" was finally upgraded to HDX on Vudu where it had only been SD. Haven't seen it on any other title but others may have seen it more?

    671 HDX
    2 HD
    2 SD

I've had this happen for several movies.

Off the top of my head:
The Karate Kid (original) (Most recent)
          Nightmare on Elm Street (either 1 & 2 or 3 & 4, can't remember exactly)
Police Academy 1 (still waiting for an upgrade on 4)
          The Exorcist (Director's Cut)
          High School High (I think)

I want to say there have been others, but I can't remember.

The first Police Academy was SD only for a long time and finally upgraded to HDX about a year ago. The same was true of Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

I'm hoping TIme Machine, Time After Time, Cobra, Naked Gun 33 1/3, and War of the Worlds will go HDX soon.

Titles have definitely gone HDX that were SD for awhile.

Some other titles I'm waiting on are below.

                House of Flying Daggers
                Superman IV
                The One
                We Were Soldiers
In the Name of the King

I wonder why this is so difficult. If the HD masters are out there and other sites like MGO can get them, shouldn't a powerhouse company like Walmart have little difficulty?

that seems too easy, think about it like this Target and Walmart and Best Buy do not all carry the same inventory all the time. yes a significant amount of the inventories overlap but there are always differences. So sometimes we are going to find things at one retailer instead of the others even at the might wally world

That analogy doesn't work. These aren't different products. They're exactly the SAME product coming from the SAME source.

Logan's Run is now HDX and used to be SD only. The blu-ray seems to work in D2D, too, so it looks like it's time to upgrade.
