    X-Files Bundle Volumes 1 & 2

There are a couple of TV season sales on the X-Files that are bundled into Volume 1 and Volume 2. When you click to buy the Volume, it only has the SD version for sale. If you click on each of the individual seasons, then you can get the HD and HDX versions, why?

    My case number is 150727-000231

    674 HDX
    2 HD
    2 SD

Those SD bundles are still a great deal since it appears VUDU now has brand-new remastered transfers of each episode in widescreen format (they shot the show with an open matte to allow for 16:9, even though Seasons 1-6 were originally broadcast in 4:3, so you are not losing any of the picture).

The old SD versions VUDU was previously using were not that great. These new transfers look incredible, even in SD!

I would rather wait for the HDX versions on sale for the same price as the SD bundles.

The studio has decided to only offer these bundles in SD only.

I think the real issue and the one i'm going to bring up is this. I bought the first one believing I could upgrade it. Why is the option not even there? I own seasons 1-4 in SD and the only option I have for upgrading to hdx is to rebuy them all again for full price. Will an upgrade option exist at some point for these seasons? Why is it not giving credit for the percentage of the cost you paid for the bundle. So you can upgrade the seasons?

Did you ever get a rebate/credit upgrading a vhs copy to Laserdisc , Laserdisc to DVD, DVD to Blu-Ray?

              Why should digital be different.

That is the very reason I hardly ever buy anything until it is HDX as you can see by my signature. I don't even see the bundles show up when doing a search. I wonder if Vudu removed the bundles?

An upgrade of the type you suggest is at the discretion of the studio, not VUDU, and I've rarely if ever seen it done on any streaming service. Or for a DVD-to-blu-ray upgrade, for that matter.

What you did get if you bought the SD bundles a while back is a nice free upgrade to sparkling new remastered transfers from the old 4:3 fuzzy transfers VUDU was using previously. That's not too shabby in my book.

I think your missing what i'm saying? Vudu has those options already in place. If you own something you can upgrade for the difference. If you owned every episode but 1 from the season you could of upgraded it to hdx for the difference in the cost. What i was asking for was the difference in the cost to upgrade to pay? Vudu already does this on other shows. They have the complete a season option and upgrade option. I wasn't asking for anything they don't already do for other shows.

                    http://watch.vudu.com/tv/season-offers/

there is the link to see what i'm talking about and yes digital is different then physical copies.

They now have the individual seasons for $9.99 on HDX so I went ahead and purchased them. It only costs about $14.00 more and you get the HDX version for all seasons rather than the SD version. It was worth the wait.
