I sent the first request (via Paramount website) on 3/7/19 and didn't get a response. I then sent a 2nd request via Paramount email on 3/19/19 and haven't heard back from that either.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned PET SEMATARY yet. This one needs to be added to the list. UHD purchase only redeems as HD to UV.

Paramount is not supporting Ultraviolet titles since Mission Impossible Fallout's release. The other titles listed in the first post are older titles, all released in 4K UHD before MI Fallout.

The 1st and 2nd ones. I already had "Star Trek Beyond" on UHD from a Vizio promotion they had a couple of years ago.

Okay, this time I'm tried another way. Previously, I had e-mail Paramount about 4K digital rights not transferring from VUDU, Ultraviolet, FandangoNOW, etc. This time, I e-mailed Paramount the following:

Subject: 4K UHD digital rights for Star Trek movies

                  Greetings,

I have purchased all three Star Trek movies, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond in 4K UHD Blu-ray disc format and noticed that the redeemable digital is only in HD format and not 4K UHD. How can I get the appropriate 4K UHD digital codes for the 4K UHD movies that I have purchased?

                  Fabian
                  And I received this response...

                  Dear Customer,

Please reply back to us with pictures of the front and back covers of the Blu-ray + Digital Copy package along with the insert so that we can investigate this further.

                  Thank you,
                  Paramount Digital Copy Support
                  So, we'll see what happens...

                  UPDATE...

Well, that didn't take too long. Shot down again...

                  Dear Customer,

Unfortunately, the 4K version is only offered on the Blu-ray Disc. The Digital Copy is only available in HD version as mentioned on the insert.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

                  Thank you,
                  Paramount Digital Copy Support

                    Hi folks,

I looked into this, and the listed movies are indicated by Paramount as being available in SD and HD only. The UtraViolet system still allows a retailer to create rights in UHD, but only a handful of UHD rights have been created for these movies, all from Flixster. I'm afraid this means that any UHD rights you might be able to get, including new codes from Paramount, may be retailer-specific and won't propagate through UV.

Of course UV is winding down, but it was never clear why UHD content didn't come with UHD UV rights when UV was in full swing.

I mean ... the resolution rights should follow the content, right? Nobody expects UHD rights to exist when the only content is HD, but ... surely it's easy enough to generate a UHD ALID once the UHD material exists and is ready to be sold/licensed?

Does this mean that Vudu can choose to issue these in UHD through the Ultraviolet system? Because they're claiming they cannot.

Any chance someone from Vudu can fix these before the end of the month???????

Now that Paramount has released the Star Trek Trilogy: The Kelvin Timeline with digital 4K codes, I rewrote them to see if they will issue new 4K codes for the unredeemed (HD) codes from previous individual film purchases.

The codes from the new pack still just deliver HD licenses on UV.

You're only getting a local UHD copy on Vudu.
