Now, Vudu just needs to actually get the UHD stream of Passengers on their system.

Did they revoke/remove the UV license from your UV account after sending you new code? I heard somewhere that they would do that.

Actually, they did not. My MA account shows Passengers as 4K HDR while my UV account still shows it as SD,HD.

Oh, I see. You redeemed the original code via VUDU not via the SonyPicturesStore, correct? That is why your UV locker only shows HD/SD ownership.

I actually redeemed all my codes via the SonyPicturesStore so I have UHD licenses in my UV locker but since VUDU only has them in HD they only ported over to MA as HD.

For what it's worth, Sony CS agreed that the Spider-Man Trilogy UHD code should redeem both the main movies (SM1, SM2, SM3) in UHD) and SM2.1 and SM3EC in HDX. Since Vudu has things setup differently than other providers, Sony CS was able to manually add rights for 2.1 and 3EC separately so that they could port into Vudu.

SM2.1 and SM3EC don't exist in UHD (only HD), so that's probably what was tripping up Vudu's systems. I've not seen a mixed quality bundle. Maybe there is a technical limitation that prevents Vudu from offering this?

Regardless, Sony CS is in top form this week. If anyone has any issues, reach out to them ASAP.

They actually did remove the UHD UV rights. You probably already had Passengers from a prior purchase/redeem in SD, HD. Each redeem/purchase will show up with a new line in UV.

With the announcement today that myUV is shutting down it's now critical more than ever that these titles get addressed with Sony. I redeemed the following titles through the SonyPicturesStore and received UHD rights in my myUV locker:

                Smurfs: The Lost Village
                Concussion
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Special Edition)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Director's Cut)
                Life
                Passengers (2016)

If you need myUV screenshots I can provide those too showing they were redeemed through Sony with UHD digital rights.

Didn't want to start ANOTHER thread, so I apologize from going away from Sony, but what about other studios 4K as well?? I've got Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane from Paramount and Gods of Egypt, Criminal, Rambo 3, and Legend of Hercules from Lionsgate, and Ex Machina and Moonlight from A24 as UHD in my UV locker waiting for them to port to Vudu. Don't want to lose the rights to them when UV goes away.

I guess so. I never had UHD at UV, and redeeming the new code didn't affect that, just gave me the UHD at Movies Anywhere.

Please contact the studio for additional assistance. We have already tested this redemption on our end and it works.

If multiple codes are throwing the same error, wouldn't that be on Vudu's end? How does Vudu "test" these redeems?
