Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). A-X-L Blu-ray with InstaWatch Sticker Is Not Working for InstaWatch

    A-X-L Blu-ray with InstaWatch Sticker Is Not Working for InstaWatch

    The Blu-ray for A-X-L has an InstaWatch sticker but it isn't working yet. Can someone please get this fixed? Thank you.

        Just heard back from the studio, this title is not to be InstaWatch eligible unfortunately.

          How is that even possible? There is clearly an InstaWatch sticker on the Blu-ray package. I consider myself a reasonable person, generally slow to frustrate. But these are the sorts of things that drive me crazy. And there's a lot to drive me crazy almost every day.

          I see false advertising in digital more and more all the time and it's maddening. How is this allowed to run so rampant? Vudu blames the studios, studios blame retailers. Either Walmart or Vudu screwed up on this one and jumped the gun on offering IW, or the studio backed out of a deal. Either way, someone is liable for the offer. Whatever the case, it's seriously not ok. At all.

          I understand mistakes happen, but someone has to answer for them. And when it affects customers who are not getting what they paid for, these things must be properly fixed. There is an entire legal system in place for this very thing. Some respect for those legal ethics is all we ask.

            If you have purchased this title at Walmart, please create a ticket with customer care so we can resolve this issue for you.

              Confirmed, this title had the Instawatch title on it, so I thought it would provide a copy but it didn't. This is more frustrating than the time that the dvd for Robert the Doll did not give an instawatch digital copy, despite the prominently placed Instawatch sticker on the front.

                  FelipeF, can i make a suggestion? Can you work with your superiors to add more transparency to movies that are indeed Instawatch eligible? Walmart owns Vudu, and Vudu owns the relationship with the studios, so as far as we the digital consumer are all concerned, Vudu is responsible for following through on delivering upon customer expectations that are set by all three parties. It would be amazing if Instawatch was not such a roll of the dice. Post a running list of eligible titles similar to the D2D page in Vudu and then honor it, regardless of what occurs at Walmart or with Studios. Transparency and then owning up when issues occur will save you a lot of headaches and make digital collectors feel valued vs constantly feeling disregarded/ripped off...

                    This is a Walmart/Vudu program, so if there is a problem/issue, Walmart/Vudu should stand behind it.

                      Thank you FelipeF. I prefer when things just work as advertised but I will reluctantly open a support ticket. I hate doing this though. Unfortunately, without many exceptions support is usually an unreasonably slow nightmare with usually no resolution at all.

                        Somewhere along the manufacturing process, the distributor mistakenly placed the InstaWatch sticker on the DVDs. In addition, the studio does not have the digital rights to offer this title for InstaWatch either.

                          Still drives me crazy that I never got the Robert the Doll InstaWatch from my in-store purchase.
