    Upgraded from sd to hdx

Yesterday, 10 of my movies that were previously puchased or disk-to-digitaled in SD format on VUDU were automatically upgraded to HDX. There was no notification of the upgrade; I only discovered the upgrade becaused 1 of the 10 movies showed up at the top of the defailt sort list. I found the other upgrades on my account history page. Anyone else have this happen?

This is thanks to Movies Anywhere.

It happened to a handful of my movies too. Oddly enough my friend had his 'So I Married an Axe Murderer' upgraded and mine was not so it looks like there was no rhyme or reason to which titles got the upgrade.

If you obtained it via D2D, I do not believe it will upgrade. It seems to be SD code redeems.

          I believe you are correct.

All of my Walmart Instawatch bundles from DVD bundles all upgraded from SD to HD, which includes...

          Planet of the Apes Collection
          Night at the Museum Collection
          Dirty Harry Collection
          Wesley Snipes Collection
          Friday Collection
Horror Collection (Friday the 13th and Exorcist remakes, It, Hidden)

It did not seem to update what registered at myuv.com.

EDIT: I did three new redeems from SD digital code slips, two of them immediately upgraded to HDX...

          Ex Machina - Upgraded
          Standoff - Upgraded
Skiptrace - Did not upgrade from SD.

Not so. I had about 30 movies upgraded and I don't even have a Movies Anywhere account. Most of my upgrades were from Instawatch purchases at Walmart.

No joy, my copy of Frankenweenie from the digital copy included in the 3D package is still SD. That's the only SD movie in my collection right now.

Where did you redeem the codes? Vudu or Movies Anywhere?

I redeemed them directly at Vudu.

FYI, I redeemed the code for the Nightmare On Elm Street 1-4 collection (SD) today through Vudu, and all I got were the SD versions.

Why couldn't this be upgrades to SD such as "Ringmaster"? LOL

No. I had a ton of movies upgraded last night and I don't even have a Movies Anywhere account.

When I started my VUDU account in 2013, there were a bunch of free SD movies included in the sign-up offer. Today several of those titles all upgraded to HDX, including So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Producers, A Knight?s Tale, and others.

I've had -zero- SD -> HDX upgrades. All of these are still in SD for me.

It's not an across-the-board thing for Vudu.
