Hopefully there will be a lot more Sony UHD titles added at Vudu before the UV shutdown. I have over 40 titles that I redeemed at the Sony Pictures Store as instructed on the UV code slips that came with the discs I purchased.

For some of these titles it has been around 3 years since release date, but Vudu still has been unable or unwilling to add them.

For many, our main interest is in 4K/UHD titles, so it seems to me that if Vudu wants us to spend more money with them, they should add more UHD.

Mentioning any other locker system is irrelevant to this discussion. This thread is specifically for discussing UV and Vudu.

I add my support to those who wish to see these issues fixed. Clearly work is being done but I hope that our faith in UV as a locker system is rewarded somehow despite the shutdown.

There is a lot that needs to happen here! First, please address this list. Second, and more importantly, please tell us you are working these issues. And finally and most critically please tell us how and reassure us that you are working on it. If it can't be done alone please help and take ownership and partner with the UV or Fandango and possible MA resources to make it happen.

The Sony Ultra 4K app is not longer supported by Sony and was pulled from Sony TVs from the latest update. It's more important than ever for Vudu to add the SONY UHD titles stuck in our UltraViolet lockers.

I called Sony and they advised newer 4K models, should be able to download the Ultra app from the Google Play Store, once the latest firmware update is completed.

Ready to Rumble and Supergirl are HD everywhere but Vudu where they're only SD so they should be added to the list.

I see Ready to Rumble in the list but not Supergirl.

Supergirl (Movie) probably isn't on the list because it's only available in SD at UV retailers. Both Vudu and FanadangoNOW offer only SD. So is out of the purview of this post.

How about Annie 1982 audio problems? During Hard-Knock Life at about the 10:05 mark Molly's voice is really low and by the 10:30 mark it's gone completely. This only happens on Vudu's version and it would be great to get it fixed.

This thread does not cover technical issues. That can be a new thread. This is only about closing out the UV system.

IF you have the proper stuff. Not everyone has these receipts saved and kept for something that would be needed years later. This is why Vudu NEEDS to fix them,

That's because they most likely acquired these movies illegally. Buying codes off eBay and other black market code selling websites, Google groups for trading and selling, buying fraudulent Vudu accounts with movies and then merging them with their main account, etc....

Before I quit buying Blu-rays, I had over 1,000 titles in my collection, all bought legally. Do you expect me to keep all those receipts in hopes 2 years later Paramount or Sony would ask for them to issue me a new UHD code? The simple answer is no.

Let's not forget how many buy Blu-rays or 4Ks just to get the digitals, then resell their discs on eBay? Those were also obtained legally, but still have no way to provide pictures of the media a year later.

The fact is these are issues within Vudu, that need to be address, and should have been addressed months, if not longer ago. When 4 retailers have said title in UHD, Vudu can easily request it and get it. I doubt any studio is going to hold back from Vudu, unless they have an exclusive deal with just one streamer. Providing UHD to all retailers does nothing but opens up the possibility of said studios making more money.
