I know it's bad form to quote yourself, but I just wanted to make sure everyone could still taste the sarcasm from 6 months ago.

Thanks to Rex Strother and everyone else who contributed to this thread. I am doubting it had much impact on getting things squared away, but no one can fault us for trying.

Yes, bravo to everyone who contributed, especially Rex!

Thank you for everyone who put this list together and all who helped, it's such a shame to see that Vudu barely even fixed some of these titles and acted like the thread wasn't here.

Cheers Rex and company! RIP Ultraviolet. You were too good to die.

If you cannot fix these issues today, can you at least make a notification on people's accounts so that they don't lose rights to movies they already purchased? Can you make a note that the user owns the title in UHD so they get UHD rights on Vudu when they are added?

Can you please please please add Ex Machina UHD.

Not going to happen...there was not rush to address these issues in the pass 6 months before the deadline, stick a fork in it. What you have in quality today, is what you'll have tomorrow. SMH...Disappointing to say the lease.

To be fair - VUDU (and other providers) are still connected/linked to MYUV. While no new UV rights are going to export from VUDU, they can fix existing ALID and or add missing ALID so that movies in MYUV continue to port into VUDU properly.

Let's hope that happens! Though, for me, my main concern was getting the UV titles so that they port to my shared libraries so my family still has access to them after UV shut down.

                          Dear vudu,

Is there any official word you can pass on regarding all the remaining issues?

                          - UVVU says to contact the studios regarding issues.

                          - The studios all say to contact vudu. Yes, each and every studio has said to direct ALL inquiries to vudu for help. I've tried for months, often going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with the studios tech support. Clearly I am never getting past the tier one people who obviously have no control over content distribution to retailers, but there seems to be no way to contact the "right people" at the studios.

                          - vudu of course only has what the studios send.

So this basically leaves a sad circle with each company telling consumers to look for help from another company.

Is there any plan to somehow "preserve" the owned definition that exists in our UV libraries? Of course that won't help for titles that do not port in at all and are not UV enabled.

Still can't believe some of these titles are languishing as SD on vudu.

I bought Police Academy 4 in HD almost 6 years ago and vudu still can't get an HD copy from Warner Brothers!

Thank you for any insight that can be provided.

Any fix after UV is closed will not matter anymore...unless Vudu has kept the UV data and will honor it.

                                ------------------------------------------------------

I know this goes back to an old post, but the situation is unresolved for me.

I checked my MA Transaction History, and it shows "The Professional" and "The Professional (Extended Cut)" redeemed through "Movies Anywhere 4K" on 4/23/2019.

I just checked my VUDU movies, and it shows "The Professional " and "The Professional (Extended)" and "You own HDX". So no UHD for me on this film in VUDU. So what gives??

                                ------------------------------------------------------

As a side note, I've noticed that MA will tell you if a UHD movie is in HDR or Dolby Vision, but VUDU does not list that information. The Professional is not in HDR, but other films, like BR 2049 and A Few Good Men are in HDR.
