POST FOR SUPPORT! Vudu option to upgrade quality for a small price!

    POST TO SHOW SUPPORT!
    A little birdie told me:
There may be an option to upgrade your SD to HD to UHD (all if available) in the future for an upgrade charge. It would be at least $2 or 3 to go from SD to HD since that is the going rate for a D2D upgrade. They are already working on a unified pricing platform with UV going away. This would allow more relatable upgrade fees in their current pricing platform.
I AM ALL FOR IT! POST YOUR SUPPORT!

It just doesn't seem like a good business move.

Many of us have been asking for this for years. I would be all for it. I have many movies that I would pay 3 to 5 dollars to upgrade from SD to HD, and other movies I would pay to upgrade to UHD. It seems like those requests have fallen on deaf ears. Please Vudu, hear our cry!

Without going into a lengthy dissection of how the physical vs digital landscape is changing and how digital retailers are in their own rights stand alone brick and mortar. .... With the leveling of pricing across movies as dictated by agreements with studios, it will just create another revenue stream.

I don't really care much about UHD but I'm all for special price upgrades especially SD to HDX, I would be fine with up to $5.00 much like you pay for a dvd to HDX d2d conversion.

I've be all for upgrading HDX to UHD for a small fee, it beats having to rebuy the 4K disc, just to get a 4K code, then having to sell off the disc. However, I'd love to know more about this little birdie, because we have been asking for this since UHD was added...

I?m a bit skeptical of this, considering the date in which it was posted.

It sure does sound like an AFD item.

If not, I'd join the ranks of saying a modest upgrade fee would be appreciated. Although not at the expense of losing D2D/M2D.

Also at this time I am more interested in getting my issues with VUDU and UV fixed by July.

I'd like this if it came to fruition.

This is up to the studios. We've been begging for this option for 10 years (SD to HDX).

I'll believe it when I see it.

Cost viability wasn't where it is now. Basically it has become a lucrative option.

Birdie Question: Troll me on it if you like, I cannot share. I have visual proof. I care about the company too much to relinquish any more. Just think of it this way, Walmart getting behind Vudu more is a good thing.
