Re: VUDU UHD ? Compatible Devices List

Respectfully, I request that Vizio M-Series (http://www.vizio.com/m-series) be added to this list as well. Or, if that is already in the works then is there a expected time frame for completion? I am contemplating between buying a Roku 4 or waiting for an update so even a glimmer of hope from an admin is appreciated!

    I own the following sets:
    • VIZIO M-Series 70? M70-C3 (Main TV, basement)
    • VIZIO M-Series 60" M60-C3 (Secondary TV, living room)

If this isn't the proper thread to post such a reply, please let me know and I will move it.

Right now, Vudu seems focused on Dolby Vision, which is not compatible with any TV on the market at present, other than the R series (starting at $6k). Hopefully that will change.

+1 for supporting Samsung 4K TVs. I've seen a lot of requests for Samsung TVs in this thread. They already support 4K Netflix and 4K Amazon. It would great to include 4K Vudu as well.

I too am requesting UHD for my Samsung JS8500. It's a UHD TV with HDR and a Vudu app on it. Yet.....I can't watch UHD movies on it from VUDU? WTF?

I'm also glad someone pointed out that the ROKU 4 doesn't support HDR.

Hopefully this is all just because VUDU is testing the waters and making tweaks here and there before a general launch of the service.

Should any A/V receiver that is HDCP 2.2 certified be compatible to play Vudu UHD?

Are you guys going to add Samsung UHD HDR TV support? I don't want to buy a Roku.

Just like everyone else in this thread and the person I quoted above...

Are there any updates on IF/WHEN the Samsung 4K TV's will get UHD support?

Re: VUDU UHD - Compatible Devices List

Will there be any plans to make Vudu UHD available for Samsung 4K TV's? I have the Samsung 55" 4K UHD JU6400 Series & I'm a big Vudu user. Right now only M-Go offers 4K UHD titles & when they are UV they transfer to Vudu but only in HDX. Will there be any updates to the Vudu App so that we'll be able to purchase & watch 4K UHD titles anytime soon? I've noticed M-Go & Vudu have different titles available in 4K UHD. I've also noticed that not all UHD titles are Ultraviolet.

I have a Sony 4k 55X810C running on Android, I'm not even going to consider buying the UHD titles until the UHD content is viewable on more than just VIZIO & Roku.

question about UHD vudu now being available through the web browser. im confused how this works. most computers as far as i know are not 4k. so does this mean you can access vudu 4k through your tvs web browser?

I also just bought a new 4K television over the holidays: the Sony XBR 65X850C which runs Android and is HDR-compatible, and have a couple questions:
                              1. When will the VUDU app be updated to support UHD content?
                              2. Will VUDU offer a plan for discounted UHD upgrades the similarly to the ability to upgrade SD DVD content to HD via DiscToDigital Service?

rumor im hearing about "compatible" devices.

im hearing that new 4k blu ray players will have the new vudu 4k app built in, and any HDR tv will have access to the HDR movies.
