I want to watch Star Wars in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on my 2016 OLED with my Chromecast Ultra. Make this fix happen for us, Vudu.

Sooner than later for timing, dependent of course, on those TVs passing the battery of tests and other issues. We do know a big movie is coming out next week....
Thanks for the info. Will the 2017 tvs with x1 extreme processor(x930e, A1e) be getting dolby vision on this new Vudu app? They now have dolby vision in the U.S.

Its good to hear that Vudu is currently working on getting our 2016-2017 Sony 4K android TVs the new version of that app, can we assume that those 2016-2017 TVs that have HDR capability will also be able to access 4K UHD + HDR Playback and not just regular 4K UHD?

How come Sony removed their amazon app and now are using prime videos app from google playstore all without upgrading to os 8 oreo....So why cant sony do the same with the vudu app without waiting for the oreo update? A Vudu rep mentioned that the only way the new Vudu Dv app would appear would be with the android oreo update...Yet amazon was able to do a switcheroo with os 7 nougat.

kruse56 & lujan...I feel your pain...out of the 40+ UHD titles I own, only 3 are digital copies without a 4K UHD disc. I have no problem putting a disc in my 4K UHD bluray player whatsoever, (which is capable of UHD playback of apps as well as my TV). I refuse to purchase another TV and/or any other streaming device just to get VUDU UHD?!..that's not going to happen! And you won't see me begging for a fix on the issues that has arisen in the past few months either. Because if a fix was to be implemented, that would have taken place by now. With that said...I can wait on the merger if I feel the need to stream a UHD title. Drop the Mic!

Me too, I bought the Apple TV 4k and the Chromecast Ultra for Vudu 4k Dolby Vision and neither of those devices work now for this content. The Chromecast Ultra did work previously with Vudu Dolby Vision and then when Vudu implemented HDR-10, all the Dolby Vision functionality stopped. It's now been almost 3 months and it still doesn't work. You would think that Vudu would have tested all of this prior to making the changes and subjecting it's customers to all of this?

If you have noticed there's not much response to the thread with questions such as yours. Our options are limited until FN joins MA.
The worst part of this is I purchased an Apple 4k TV in the hopes that I could watch my digital movies in 4K only to find out that the VUDU app on it doesn't support 4k. I connected to MA and had as many titles as I could ported to Itunes but there are still Disney movies that are only UHD on VUDU not Itunes like GOTG 2, POTC 5 and Coco. Trying to figure out where to watch your movies in 4k/UHD digitally is one of the most frustrating experiences I've had as a movie collector. I really don't want to have to buy ANOTHER streaming device just to watch a select subset of my movies. It is completely ridiculous.

I find the Fandangonow app worse than even a broken Vudu app.
Always cuts off my movie and says too many streams even though no other device is accessing it.
