Filipe, can you comment on what Vudu is doing to permit 4k streaming to PC? Netflix seems a step ahead in this regard.

The Xiami Mi Box is listed on Google's Android TV page as a certified device so why does it not support UHD through Vudu?

Do the Roku TVs that have DV (specifically the TCL P-Series) display UHD+DV content from Vudu or are those 4k-only like the rest of Roku's products?

Doesn't do me much good though since both my 2015 Samsung 4k UHD TV & 2016 Samsung UBD Blu-ray player aren't supported for UHD streaming here at VUDU. But it would be nice to see my Sony UHD titles port into VUDU in case a miracle happens one day and they're added to the list of supported devices.

Great news for those that have the equipment to enjoy all their UHD/HDR titles from the all participating studios.

              ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

              Couple of updates -

              (i) Yes, we are going to start supporting Sony titles w/ 4K+HDR if available. Baby Driver already has 4K+DV.
(II) Everyone who pre-orders is getting a $3 credit on release.
(III) We are diligently working on HDR10 for Samsung and other devices. Please be patient and we'll get there.
(IV) We'll try our level best to get 4K+DV ready for Tuesday - stay tuned.

Thank you for all your support everyone!

              Cheers,

Yes the P series does have DV, and as I have posted before every time I play a UHD movie with DV from Vudu ( the latest one was Pirates 5) the DV symbol pops up unless the TV is lying to me.

So, the new 4K HDR Apple TV is out. New Amazon Fire TV 4K HDR will be available 10/25/17. Roku 5 4k HDR is available for preorder. Xbox One X will be out 11/5/17.

Vudu's customers deserve to know which units will stream My Vudu titles in 4K, or 4K HDR. And it would also be nice for Vudu to give an estimated implementation date for the updated apps for each supported device.

Please don't keep us in the dark.

Agreed. I really want to know when I'll be able to watch Vudu UHD on my Sony OLED.

Re: Vudu UHD - Compatible Devices List

I just noticed the Vudu app on the NVidia shield TV was completely redesigned in their last update. I'm also noticing that the 4k titles I own now say HDR but it's greyed out. I have a 2017 Samsung TV, and HDR works just fine in the shield for Netflix and Amazon in my setup. My setup doesn't support DV though.

Does the HDR logo lsignify that the new updated Vudu app already has the HDR10 capabilities whenever Vudu decides to go live with it?

                            Good Afternoon,

I currently have a Samsung UN65JS8500 in my living room which is awesome, but I am looking to get a 50-55" 4K TV for my bedroom wall. I am looking to spend under $1500, under $1000 more preferable, but I am willing to spend a little more if the benefits are there.

I primarily had most of my 4K/UHD movies through VUDU, but with Movies Anywhere, all the movies that are now in iTunes, I have a lot more 4K movies on iTunes. I want to limit the amount of devices connected to it (i.e. I don't want to have to have a TV, Roku, Apple TV and a gaming console all hooked up to be able to watch every single movie I have in the best format.

I have looked at the list of VUDU UHD capable TVs with HDR and I am unsure which would be the best. I have been looking at the 2016 Vizio Smartcast M & P series (since not sure if the 2017 M & P series are VUDU UHD HDR compatible as they aren't listed).

Any help or suggestions on the best TV with VUDU UHD HDR capability, it would be greatly appreciated.

                            Thanks

So I'm seeing that the Vizio 2016 Smartcast M-Series 4K TV is listed as a compatible device for Vudu's Dolby Vision playback. But the TV we're planning to get is a Vizio 2017 Smartcast M-Series. Does anyone know if this TV will be compatible?

I just bought the 2017 M75-E1 a few moments ago. Since the 2017 versions use the same web based app for streaming it's highly likely that they will do HDR via VUDU just fine. I made a whole post about it a while back in this thread trying to get them to add the 2017 models but the haven't.
