The Vudu App on Apple TV 4k is Not 4k capable. But it does have 4k with iTunes and select Apps. It is Dolby Vision and HDR10 capable.

IT was the first movie this happened to me on, now I can?t watch Coco, Wonder Woman, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The most frustrating part is that once I switch over to HDX all the problems stop. If I could get a response from VUDU I would greatly appreciate it. Hopefully you can help me resolve this issue cuz sending an email did absolutely nothing.
We are working closely with Samsung on this.

Not abandoned. Look for an update coming soon.

It's been not working for over 2 months now so "coming soon" has long past...

I have a Samsung UN78KU7500 4k TV. Is there any update on when VUDU will be eligible to play movies in UHD? I have about 20 movies purchased in UHD on VUDU that i cannot currently play because my VUDU app wont allow for UHD playback.

Your best bet is to wait until FandangoNow joins MoviesAnywhere. When this takes place all your eligible UHD titles will port from VUDU over and will viewable at FN. Also, whenever MA adds UHD support hopefully we'll be able use Chromecast Ultra for UHD viewing as well. Us Samsung/Chromecast owners are not getting much love from VUDU these days. If you have noticed there's not much response to the thread with questions such as yours. Our options are limited until FN joins MA.

                Hi Jeffrey,

Any updates on a possible time frame we can expect this? Nothing more frustrating than spending tons on a Sony 4K OLED only to find out the Vudu app on it doesn't allow for UHD playback. I already love the TV. I want to love it even more with Vudu UHD.

His Samsung is fully capable of UHD playback without the need of a Roku if TV app support was pushed out.

So is mine but UHD playback has been broken for over a month now on my particular tv.

so I gained flawless playback and HDR when I recently picked up a roku.

I would have preferred never spending a penny and using the native app, yes , but I also gained a few apps without having to chromecast and I'm sure the roku vudu app will be updated long past our TVs.

Like I said previously...Us Samsung owners will just have to wait until the FN/MA merger...which speaking for myself...keeps me from adding more...hdmi cables, power cords, remotes...from external devices. Whenever VUDU or FN adds Sony UHD titles...then all will be GOOD!!!

When is the chromecast ultra going to start working again? Mine has been only showing that I can cast my UHD content in HD for the past month +. This is very frustrating as this was the primary reason I got a chromecast ultra.

Jeffrey, is this update going to apply to casting UHD from the website/Chrome browser as well, or just iOS/Android apps?
