Stay tuned for news on 2016-2017 4K TVs.
When will the new 4K Android TV be available? Will it come from Sony or from Google? What about a 4K version for the Apple TV 4K?

And with respects to a firmware update from Sony, what version would that be? As 0075 was the Dolby Vision update that works with HDMI, like the Oppo 203 and Apple TV 4K.

Vudu app UI updated for Vizio on screen Web links. DV doesn't work yet on new titles. Heard Chromecast Ultra works though.

I just tried Jumanji and Justice League on Chromecast Ultra and it seems Dolby Vision is working but it would only let me cast in HDX and not UHD. UHD wasn't even a choice. Why would that be?

                      94 UHD
                      859 HDX
                      3 SD

Try restarting CC. That worked for me. 4K HDR Atmos. Looks great.

Today is the first time my 2017 Sony 4k android tv with chromecast built-in has ever allowed me to cast a movie in UHD, that being said there are still quite a few problems Vudu need to fix:

                          1. None of my UHD movies played with HDR, even though my tv has the capability.
                          2. Only my android tablet allowed my to cast in UHD, my iphone doesn't even have the option for UHD. How come?
                          3. The only buttons on my remote that would not cause an error screen to pop up and stop the movie entirely are the play/pause buttons. Trying to raise the volume would only cause an error screen.

It looks like something is getting worked on which makes me glad, but I am still holding out for the Vudu android tv app to be fully functional on Sony TVs and sooner rather than later.

Theoretically 1080P HDR is possible. However there is no 1080P HDR content that I am aware of. If the aforementioned devices detect a 1080P panel the signal UHD HDR will be disabled.

It was fixed although I don't think it's been announced and only a partial fix. I was able to watch Vudu Dolby Vision content on recent movies by using an Android device to cast to the Chromecast Ultra. It did not let me choose UHD on the iOS device but was sending Dolby Vision. Maybe they're still working on it?
