Jake I'm curious why the #1 console in the world still lacks UHD support. When will PlayStation 4 Pro get support for UHD from VUDU? Thanks.

My understanding is that there will be another update coming very quickly to resolve the iOS casting UHD issue - as well as an Android update to resolve another casting issue - after which Chromecast player itself will be updated.

Jake, I'm still awaiting an answer as to whether or not UHD casting support will be added to the Chrome browser.

I'm primarily an Apple TV users and I'm dying to find an alternative way to watch Disney 4K movies, I'm waiting vudu to update this respective apps at this point.

Are there any updates or an ETA on:

          - Updated Vudu app for 2017 Sony Bravia TV's with UHD/HDR support?

          - Updated Apple TV app with UHD/HDR support?

Sony A1E Oleds just received a new system update pkg..0082 and still "NO SIGN" of a updated Vudu 4K DV/HDR app....the wait is getting painful and frustrating.

I asked Jeff from Vudu marketing a couple days ago, and still haven't heard from him. It seems like they are offering UHD vudu for 2018 tvs, but not for 2017 tvs? Seems weird, considering the z9d 75 inch is still the best television in the Sony lineup. The fact that the flagship doesn't have it and a 2018 mid-range has it, doesn't seem right. My parents have had the x850c(2015 model) for years and still no update for UHD. I'm confused.

They are pretty much all pixelating like crazy in UHD, and Samsung has no answers. These same titles work in the FandangoNOW app, but that app is awful and I'd prefer to not use it. I got a Chromecast Ultra to try and access that way, but of course that isn't working now either. Any insight? I have a bunch of UHD movies that I've paid for and I can't watch.
according to what I've read, they are aware of the issue and Vudu says it's a Samsung issue. I hope it gets fixed soon!

The update .0082 for 2017 Sony?s TVs actually helps the performance of the new prime video app. But definitely not Vudu. It?s on Sony?s website. Amazon is on the ball.

Okay, Vizio has rolled out firmware update 4.0.23.2, and the result.....older Vudu Dolby Vision titles now revert to UHD SDR. Newer titles continue to play back in HDR10, so Dolby Vision support has now fallen back to 2014.

Jake, I assume you guys have Vizio P, M Series displays on site for certification. I'm hoping we now have the correct Dolby Vision profile for proper Dolby Vision play back.

My Roku Premiere+ is set to 4K HDR 60 HZ
I have a Samsung MU8000 and color is set to UHD color
I am using an Onkyo TX-NR656 receiver and have tried switching it from Deep Color on to off and back to on again with no avail.

Nothing I have tried has worked. I will say that the VUDU app that's built into the Samsung TV plays the titles in HDR, but then I lose my receiver audio. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

                        EDIT

I'm going to try and change my HDMI cables since they are a "few" years old. A direct connection between Roku and TV does allow HDR to work. The existing cables do say high speed on them, but they could be the problem; they were probably considered "High Speed" at the time they were made (2012) but not based off of today's standards; these are the ones I have https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_...seq=1&format=2 they are 10.2 Gbps rated. After reading more, it looks like my old cables are based off of the HDMI 1.4 standard and that's why they are not working.

Ordering 18Gbps cables from Monoprice.... I'll report back if this fixes the problem.
So I changed my cables and it still didn't work. After a while I decided that I would check my receiver's settings. My receiver, the Onkyo TX-NR656, has 2 HDMI out ports listed as MAIN and SUB. I had my 4K TV on MAIN, and my 1080p projector on SUB. I decided to turn off the SUB output on the receiver and then, all of the sudden, my Roku Premiere + was able to detect 4K HDR at 60 HZ on auto detect. I loaded up Vudu and the HDR logo was no longer greyed out and was in color. Finally

Is there any actual confirmation that UHD is coming for Sony's 2016 models? I have an XBR-65X850D and am patiently waiting, but am I out of luck?

Bug fixes are good but I agree, UHD support would be even better. In fact, I would divert some of my purchases from iTunes to VUDU if it comes to pass.

I have the 800D and I was able to do what they call "side-load" the Vudu app and now I get Vudu UHD & HDR on my Sony. I'm not sure they'll ever have UHD on the built-in Vudu app?
