I'm having trouble getting Vudu UHD titles to play on the 2019 shield. The option is there to rent UHD but I'll get a prompt at the rental confirmation stage, stating my system is limited to HDX.

I connected the shield directly to the TV but am still getting the HDX limited prompt.

I have zero issues with 4K/HDR/ATMOS content from other apps such as Netflix/Disney+

    Any suggestions?

    TV - LG CX 77
    Receiver - Denon S720W
    Nvidia Shield 2019 running 8.1.1(32.7.301.99)

It's just a bug with the text in the confirmation dialog - you will still be able to play UHD as long as the Shield is connected to a UHD TV. A fix for it is in the next Android TV app update which should be out in the next week or so.

UHD cannot be streamed from a PC. You used to be able to about a year ago but hasn't been the same since then.

Same question. We'll need Dolby Vision/Atmos support for it.

I highly doubt they are going to even bother working with Vudu or vice versa because the whole Google TV overlay appears to be designed to work with Google Movies and such. If everyone used VUDU instead it would take away from what Google is trying to do. IMHO.
