There's also no point in buying any 4k movies because you only support a small number of devices.
I have the 65EG9600 also. Would love to be able to buy and rent UHD movies from VUDU.

What is the deal with VUDU and Fire TV - I used to be able to stream VUDU by attaching it to FLIXTER through UV account - now none of them work on Fire TV - is this an Amazon deal or a VUDU Deal...Wat's up guys?

I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to watch a couple UHD movies on my Samsung 6300 series TV. I understand that the VUDU app on the TV doesn't (yet?) support VUDU UHD. My options are to purchase a Roku or Chromecast Ultra.

Since the Chromecast Ultra will support DolbyVision HDR with a forthcoming firmware update, I suppose that's the way I should go.

Would anyone recommend the Roku Premiere+ or Ultra over the Chromecast Ultra?

The Samsung (assuming it's a 2016 model) will support UHD very soon. It doesn't support Dolby Vision, so for now it will be SDR UHD. HDR10 is on the roadmap, but is a bit further out.

Hi, I have the Roku Premier+ and it does pretty good. I did have to slow down the audio on my receiver so it wouldn't be out of sync on Vudu but that is all. I don't want the chromecast ultra cause it don't have a remote. I can't see having to use my phone with it. I would have bought the Mi box if it would have supported uhd on vudu. Hope this helps.

Talking about HDR10, how much further out is a bit? Seeing that Dolby Vision requires licensing and a chip from Dolby in order to implement, and HDR10 is free and does not require that chip, it should not take long to implement. The freeness of HDR10 is the reason that, IMO, it will win & the reason why most manufacturers have adopted it. Even LG & Vizio which use Dolby Vision still support HDR10 as well. Please Vudu, let's speed up this HDR10 implementation.

Is anyone else having connection issues on their LG WebOS 3 Vudu app or specifically using it with the LG OLED65E6P? I get a "Restoring Secure Network Connection" message every few minutes even when just browsing my library, and usually I have to restart the app to get back in. It isn't usable for viewing content. None of the other apps on the TV have any issue with steaming or connections, and the Vudu app on my Xbox works fine. No 4K or Dolby Vision though, which was the whole point of the TV =/

The KU630D (Costco version of the KU6300) is a 2016 model. Thanks for the info. If you can comment on a possible update timeline, that'd be great but I can understand if you can't.

Please expand your 4k program VUDU. I just bought the Roku Ultra. It has 4k VUDU,but not 4k HDR VUDU, even though it is an HDR capable system. Please update if possible.

New firmware update (1154.0) for Samsung 2016 SUHD TVs and still no UHD for Vudu via the Tizen app. Are we getting closer to receiving UHD?
