correct. I do not get DV when plugged into my receiver, it is HDR10. I'm waiting on Yamaha to fix that issue...

I know the new Yamaha AVRs coming out all support DV. Will be interesting to see if they can add that to existing models.

Thanks for that info. Looks like sadly for the RX-V line they are only updating the top model.

There's also no point in buying any 4k movies because you only support a small number of devices.
I also have a 65EG9600 which does stream 4K AND HDR from Netflix. Please VUDU, we would love to continue to use your service BUT will go another route for our media content if you can't deliver an updated app that can stream at least the 4K portion.

I just picked up a Nvidia Shield and noticed there are 2 Vudu apps, I'm assuming one is an android version, but why is only one play UHD?

If you have a receiver that outputs Atmos + Dts x one of the 4k HDMI inputs must be 2.2 but even if your VUDU app shows UHD it does not pass through Atmos.
Checking my iPad remote app it shows DD only .
The Xbox one s settings have been set to Bitstream and DD ( choice of Dts for Dts x ) no idea why .

No, it's still Dolby Vision and not HDR-10.

Has to be. Samsung does not have DV. It is changing my settings (Backlight / Contrast 100) and the pic is very clipped / oversaturated. Not a very pretty HDR, but I can adjust the HU9000 gamma and stuff. No HDR10 on the Samsung app or Roku Ultra yet. I am in the Chromecast Beta program, so maybe that's it.

Interesting if true, I'll have to spend some time with the Chromecast Ultra on a non-DV LG TV that I have to test it out this week. I'm also on the Beta program as well.

I just tested on my chromecast ultra and I do not get hdr yet, just uhd as it was before. This must be related to a newer fw from the beta program.
