Jake, this problem still exists. Your customers are unable to watch their UHD titles via the Chromecast Ultra.

I just tried one of my UHD Vudu titles the other day on the Chromecast Ultra and it worked fine so don't know why you're having this issue? Is it just one title or all titles?

The Great Wall and Fabulous Creatures, the only two UHD titles i have...

they both trigger the TV ( LG B6 ) to go into HDR mode.

There appears to be something wrong with "The Great Wall" UHD working with the Chromecast Ultra. I tried to cast a couple of times and the movie never started. I would call Vudu support to see if they can figure it out. I don't own the other one so I couldn't test it.

It must have been a temporary issue because it is now working and I tried 2 different titles (The Great Wall & Fantastic Beasts).

I'm watching from a Vizio "P" series display in Dolby Vision. If you're watching on a Chromecast Ultra then it seems they're working on HDR-10 for the time being and it doesn't look good. All the light colors are appearing blown out like they're neon colors.

Yes, it appears like they're working on getting HDR-10 working (at least on the Chromecast Ultra) and we're the ginny pigs.

                            Nope.....not HDR

Last night I tried this on my KS9000 and man was everything pixelated. Even HDX titles. I switched between wireless and wired and neither worked. Granted I don't usually use app on my Samsung - but it seems at least last night the app was having issues.

Google told me to engage VUDU support! and VUDU support blames Google... at least Jake claimed that they are not sending any HDR10 and that the Chromecast is wrongfully triggering HDR10 on the tv's.

so we are at an impass...

Sounds like Google and VUDU need to talk! Do they not have support connections between the two of them?

I purchased a Roku premier + a few days ago to watch my VUDU 4K movies on my Sony XBR75X850. I have 877 movies with roughly 35 UHD. I got tired of waiting on VUDU HDR10 support. The picture was blown out. I had to switch to the Vivid setting to watch it. At least I got a 4K picture. After researching the HDR10 verses Dolby Vision, I think I know what the problem is. VUDU is not trying to send a HDR10 signal. Since Dolby Vision is a higher version of HDR it is causing the Samsung and Sony sets to freak out. HDR10 sends a signal/setting once to set the video controls. Dolby Vision sends a constant stream of HDR controls to constantly change the settings from scene to scene. Samsung and Sony don't have the hardware/software to handle this data traffic, so the resulting terrible video output. Rumor has it that Sony will do a software update to Dolby Vision. Samsung looks out of luck so far!
