I didn't try the Chromecast but I'm still unable to watch recent UHD titles on my Smartcast Vudu application. I tried to watch Inception UHD on the Vudu app on the Vizio and I still only get the "Loading" screen over and over since I first reported this case (#170913-000157) back in September 2017. I had to use the Apple TV 4k again in order to watch the movie. Thank God for Movies Anywhere since I've had to watch the majority of my UHD titles on the Apple TV 4k since the Vizio app doesn't work.

    85 UHD
    858 HDX
    3 SD

      Jeff,
Could you be so kind as to give Sony TV owners any additional information regarding this?
      - Will your UHD capability update for the internal app apply to ALL the Sony 4K TV's which are set to receive the Dolby Vision firmware update? (Z9D, X940E, X930E, A1E)
Will it be later this year after the firmware has been released for a while, or will it update sooner, like within a short time after the firmware is released?

At the very least, can you confirm your statement with any further details? Much appreciated and thanks for taking the time to post.

I'm having a problem with some UHD titles using CCU as well. Dunkirk, Lego Ninjago, and Dark Knight Trilogy will not send UHD only HDX.

However, i recently redeemed Harry Potter Collection, and it sends UHD no problem.

What about Apple Products beyond the TV, like laptops or iPads? This may be a foolish question, but can UHD videos play on an Apple laptop?

I have a Sony Android TV that I had been waiting for about a year for the Vudu App to update to 4K/HDR. I finally got tired of waiting and bought a Roku Ultra. It was a good move for me because I am now enjoying 4K HDR on Vudu.

Chromecast can't play 2049 in UHD on Google Play or FandangoNow?

Why is there not more support for other 4K devices yet? I own a 4K LG 2015 model and because I was one of the early adopters of 4K I am forgotten?

Still no PS4 Pro support, no excuse for such a prolific device not to support UHD at this point.

Is there UHD support for the MiBox yet? I'd think that the Walmart Exclusive device would get some support from Vudu.

Hello Jeffrey. Sony has just released a firmware update for all Sony 2015 and later Android TV's. They are being updated from Android version M (Marshmallow) to Android version N (Nougat). What changes can we expect to the native Vudu app on these TV's? Thank you.

I am so frustrated. I have a Sharp 4K TV (2017 model) and Sony UBX800 4K 3D Blu Ray Player that I recently purchased only to discover VUDU does not stream 4K on this player. How do we request they do this? The only option currently to stream 4K on VUDU through a 4K player is limited to just the Samsung UBDM9500. Why? I needed a 4K player that was also 3D. I own several movies, some of which are 4K on VUDU and I am so disappointed. Whose decision is it to only limit it to certain televisions, streaming devices and 4K players? How do we request they also include certain devices and be heard?
