    Thank you JeffreyVUDU for this.

Here is some feedback. I have been testing the app on a Sony 55 inch X900e, and found that there is still a problem with a "dark image", but it can be somewhat fixed by toggling the HDR on and off. Once I do that the image seems to stabilize and I do not see it as "too dark".

i have only had this problem with UHD movies so far.

Thank you. Don't forget to add the UBP-X700 Sony UHD player to the 4K only list on the first post.

        Thanks JeffreyVUDU.
I check this every day. Any word on the TiVo Bolt VOX yet?

As I posted over in the new Android TV thread...

@JefferyVUDU - THANKS! I think that I installed it, but here's what I did in an attempt to sideload it. After downloading the apk file to my Google Drive, I loaded ES File Explorer on my Sony 940E. I then accessed my Google Drive via ES File Explorer and selected the apk file. I saw the market and selected market. This took me to the Google Play Store and I installed the VUDU 4.1.37.89419. So, I'm assuming that it installed the "official" beta, as opposed to actually sideloading the apk file.

Anyways, thanks again for making this available. Feedback...

So, the first time I tried it, I got a problem error. Sorry, didn't know what it exactly indicated. Re-launched the VUDU app and every 4K UHD that I have available on VUDU seems to play on my 940E. I've getting the Dolby Vision and Atmos indicators. I'm getting the Dolby Vision from my 940E and my Onkyo 777 is show Dolby Atmos. YES!

Why is there no network speed test like on the tvOS (Apple TV 4K) app? And would it be possible to sort and/or view just my 4K UHD movies.

Can't wait for the tvOS update!

I attempted to download the beta for my 850d, but when I try to select it under the Google Play device list, it says the tv is not compatible. The 850d is a 2016 Sony 4k but Google Play lists it as "Bravia 4k 2015." Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you Jeffrey for this amazing update. Besides the occasional buffering, it works pretty well for a beta. When can Chromecast ultra users expect a dolby vision update for vudu casting via CCU? Right now Vudu only casts in HDR 10 on sony 2017 tvs with CCU. Thank you.

Looks like Apple TV now supports 4K hdr! It?s on the list!!

So the app now says it supports 4k uhd, and when I look at a title it has the new 4k hdr logos, but when I actually play it it still plays in only standard hd

Will VUDU be updated for the Samsung 2016 KS series TV'S to support HDR or HDR10+?

I did not find the new VUDU app on my Sony XBR75X940D but I was able to find it ony my XBR65Z9D

Loaded the new beta VUDU app on me Sony XBR-65A1E watched The Great Wall which looked great in Dolby Vision, but the constant buffering was problematic. My A1E is using a 200Mbps wired connection

Is there any movement on VUDU providing UHD options on Samsung KU 4K TVs? It looks like the list is updating for which TVs are compatible with the 4K content on VUDU so I was just wondering. And is it just the HDR titles that will play back in 4K on the Apple TV? I went through my collection and noticed The Silence of the Lambs (which I own in UHD on VUDU) still only plays back in HD and it?s not in HDR.

                          Comment

I was excited to see the Apple TV 4K Vudu app get updated. I selected the 4K output playback quality. However, any 4K title I try to play, the icon goes around on loading until I press the play button, and then it says my cable or display isn't HDCP compatible. This is rubbish, as everything is HDCP 2.2. I've tried turning things off and on, and resetting the Apple TV, but nothing changes. I've tried different resolutions & HDR settings, and refresh rates, but no go. Any other app works fine, and iTunes outputs 4K HDR without issue. My TiVo Bolt also has no issues with 4K with the cable. Does the app have a problem with HDR-10 only devices? What's going on? Please fix this!

Just to add my 2 cents. I?m getting constant buffering on all UHD movies from both my internal VUDU app on my Sony 940E and my Apple TV 4k which is connected straight to the tv. Also getting the freezing screen with Thor like others have mentioned in another thread.

I am also seeing buffering and stuttering in the vudu app on uhd content. I am hardwired and getting 75mbps to the telly through the ethernet port so bandwidth is not a problem.

no other apps are exhibiting this behavior and the vudu app has started crashing on pressing back and randomly started itself yesterday whilst I was watching prime video !

                                Sony a1 oled.
