Maybe nobody has brought this up yet, but it would be really really nice to have UHD support on the Playstation 4 Pro....

I really hope you all start supporting your VUDU App on FireTV. The MoviesAnywhere App does not support our UHD 4K Digital copies. I'd really like to play my 4K movies on my 4K Projector via my FireTV Cube.

The UHD versions of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" will not play in Dolby Vision on my Vizio PQ65-F1 via the Smartcast Vudu app. Any ETA on when those will be fixed?

^^^ I concur with the poster above. I've been waiting for the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Transformers: The Last Knight in Dolby Vision via the Apple TV for what seems like an eternity. I've seen less popular movies get the Dolby Vision treatment before these! What gives?

Any ETA on that? Also why does every movie in UHD that I play through always has the picture freeze but audio keep playing like halfway through the movie. I know this issue was first brought up when the UHD update when live on the ATV. For example with Thor Ragnarok. It almost makes having the app useless and forces me to look elsewhere which I would rather not. I watched Black Panther yesterday throught ATV Vudu app for the first time in months and surprise picture freezes smh. What's the point of paying for a service I can not use correctly? I also have 1 GB internet speeds so it is not my internet just in case you think it might be.

I recently perchased the Sony x700 and while it does allow uhd hdr playback from vudu, you cannot stream atmos from the vudu app on the Sony x700. On the vudu app it's says atmos on the upper right corner, however on my arcam, it says "Dolby surround" so it's still not getting atmos or else it would say "atmos" on my arcam screen. I know my arcam receiver can play atmos because when there is a atmos enabled disc playing it says "atmos"....I did all the updates to the player also, any help would be great

I have the Sony x700 that has all the updates and still in not able to stream atmos from the vudu app, it says atmos on the upper right corner and hdr, but on my receiver it says Dolby surround. I can play atmos from a uhd disc just not streaming from the app, any suggestion?

You need to turn off Digital Music Enhancer to get Atmos.

I am sure there are many individuals like myself who may have purchased a big screen smart television just a couple of years ago. When watching I am more than 15 feet from the screen so after doing some comparison viewing I was unable to see the benefit of a 4K UHD at the time. I did however purchase an Apple TV 4K and a new Dolby Atmos capable receiver. I am very pleased with the ATV?s support of Atmos not only on iTunes but as of last night on Netflix as well. Neither service prevents me from receiving the Atmos surround sound even though I do not currently have a 4K UHD TV. I along with I?m sure many others would be more inclined to rent/buy UHD movies from Vudu if the Atmos surround was part of the stream whether the TV is HD or UHD. A good example would be the Disney/Marvel movies which are not available on iTunes in UHD so do not have the Atmos surround but on Vudu they do.

Was wondering what I need to get Dolby Atmos working? Just got a new LG Soundbar that supports it. I have a 2016 LG TV that supports UHD, but the TV itself doesn't support Dolby Atmos so my soundbar days PCM (if I use an audio cable) or Dolby if I use HDMI with ARC. I then tried VUDU on my Sony UDP-X800 but it seems that model doesn't support 4K so I wasn't going to get Dolby Atmos either.

So what are my choices short of either buying a 2018 TV or a Sony UDP-X700 to get VUDU to output Dolby Atmos to my new soundbar?

Been waiting for an update on the UDP-X800 for months and only crickets. Vudu is great at up-selling UHD movies but is pitiful at providing supported devices :-/

The answer you will receive is, it's up to the device company.

Has there been any update on the 2016 Sony's that weren't included in the beta like the 850D?
