Roku has all of them, except itunes of course, they keep that locked down so if you have to have itunes figure on 2 boxes.

they have all been baked into the TV remote for about five years. I can not think of a TV now that ships w/o the usual suspects baked in.

Those biscuit boxes (roku & AppleTV) are for retrofitting older TVs. In the Apple case, it also opens iOS onto the TV.

If you want one to do all, Dell has a biscuit sized windows PC that can do them all. It has HDMI output only.

Not necessarily for me but my wife. That was she doesn't have to worry about dealing with the complications of multiple units or even a computer to watch movies. My room is set up with my streaming blu-ray player and an older AppleTV. I just haven't gotten a multi-device remote for my room yet. But for me, it's not an issue. It's the lazy in me that wants everything in 1 box.

But I don't want to spend $1000-$2000 for a new TV for my wife's convenience. At least not yet. I have been looking at getting a new 70" TV to replace the old DLP one we have in the living room. Just haven't found one she likes at a good price. Maybe on Black Friday next month...or Cyber Monday.

The UI on most smart TVs suck. Generally they are not supported well for upgrades and get outdated quickly. The TV may last 10 years but the streaming part will fall behind the times quickly. I have several smart TVs, only one of them isn't upgraded with a Roku. These boxes are not just for old TVs, they are for people who want better.
