Movies Anywhere - SOOO Many UHD Not Available At Vudu - Why ?!?!?

Why is there such a large amount of mainstream titles lately available on Movies Anywhere (and FandangoNow) that are not available on Vudu.

Vudu seems to to be becoming less and less of a one stop shop since. I hate having to swap services. 4K UV on Sony was one thing but there?s a growing list of titles available on just about every provider, except Vudu.

What thr the heck is going on lately.

Yes, very frustrating and disappointing. It makes me wonder if the sales of UHD movies just aren't that great yet, so Vudu is not making it a priority.

If Kaleidescape ever connects to Movies Anywhere I?m just going to get one of their used units. Even used ones are still pricey but the interface is just amazing compared to Roku, AppleTV, or even just Vudu?s app and the quality is true UHD disc quality, better than Vudu UHD. I created an account a while back and linked my UV (before UV shuts down) just Incase.

Few are will8ng to pay the price for the hardware, even used. But with how much we use our UV & MA content it?s not a big deal.

What is is a BIG deal is that Vudu has a better interface over AppleTV, Movies Anymore, Fandango, etc. but if I can?t get all my MA UHD on a Vudu and have to hop between services and figure out who has hat versions it?s more and more of a headache and have to consider other options besides Vudu.

Everyone nes needs to create an account with every UV provider they can before it goes down so you have more options down the road. Especially since I doubt our UV purchases will ever get converted over to MA.

How were you able to create a kaleidoscape account without activating hardware? I never found a way.

i find it to be just the opposite. MA is missing many of my titles so I dont ever bother using it. Also, no TV titles in MA. All my stuff is in Vudu, so i dont have this problem.

just a quick look at my MA.... no bumblebee, no overlord, no operation finale, no hunter killer.... no need to look further. MA is missing a ton of my titles, which makes it worthless to me.

True, but when it comes to UHD, there are several retailers (FandangoNow, iTunes, Google Play) that provide a LOT more UHD titles for purchase. Vudu is not even close to them. Obviously not a big deal if you don't care much about UHD.

And UHD was my point and the thus why in the title of this thread.

Why everyone except Vudu has UHD titles going more smoothly I don't know.

i care very much about UHD, its awesome!!!

Google play doesnt support Dolby Atmos or Vision, last I checked. Plus i have problems with buffering with Google Play.

Apple, i dont support apple, hate the company, won't give them my money.

                I thought fandango was closed.

Fandango is the theater movie ticket site.
FandangoNOW is the home movie streaming site.

Every 4 tickets you get on Fandango gets you $5 to spend on FandangoNOW which I would use to buy more UHD titles but they aren't visible on Vudu in UHD, unlike FandangoNow.

FandangoNOW has the most. Vudu is my favorite which sadly is falling in last with UHD.

That?s the thing that makes no sense.

If if it?s a MA title (in UHD) and Vudu is linked with MA, and every other MA provider has it in UHD, why or why is Vudu the only one to not have it ?

                      No seemingly logical reasoning.

I've seen it said both ways - blame the studios, they purposely leave Vudu out when updating the quality of transfers or blame Vudu for not requesting the new, higher quality transfers. I don't see what the studios would gain in leaving a big company out, which would mean less sales for the studio. I also don't see why Vudu wouldn't want to be on top of their game and make sure they have the best quality out there... but then again, Vudu has titles and quality other streamers don't provide, so maybe we will never know.
