What happens to instantwatch if I cancel and then reorder an item?

I ordered the Game of Throne season 1-7 box set from Walmart and then accidentally requested the order be canceled about a minute later. The order is currently showing as ?pending?, but also ?Cancellation requested?. I already had the episodes added to Vudu with instantwatch.

I?d be very surprised if the cancellation doesn?t go through considering how fast I canceled it. As such I was thinking of reordering since I want to get the order by Friday and I was told by Walmart that it will take 48 hours for the order to show as canceled (which seems wrong since it?s suppose to deliver in 48 hours).

Anyway my understanding is that the instantwatch will be revoked if the order is canceled or returned. My question is what happens if I purchase the video again (presumably getting another instantwatch) and then the first order cancels, removing the instantwatch? Will the videos still be on my account?

I'd be more surprised if your order got cancelled. Trust me, I and many others have tried to cancel orders from Walmart.com and always end up with our orders. I'm almost positive there's no actual way to have your order canceled by them and I've tried every way so if you re-order you'll just end up with two sets.

I got an email that the instawatch video was removed from my account because the item was returned. The order is still showing as ?pending? though.

This is true. The only thing you can do is return the item after you get it. I don't order from Walmart.com unless I'm going to go pick it up immediately at the store.

Well as I mentioned, Walmart already remove the InstantWatch video, claiming I've returned the item to the store. The order is still in the "pending" state and it's supposed to be delivered on Friday. I can't see how they can't cancel it at this point since they already canceled the InstantWatch video.

I had an order I wanted to cancel once so I clicked the cancel order button, emailed them, called them, and online chatted with them and still got my order. Unless they recently changed things you're going to get that set in the mail. You'll either have to return it and re-order or try and chat with them and see if there is anything they can do.

Regardless of it saying "pending", you can still return it in person. It will be a "return" and not a cancellation. I've done this in the past and Vudu and Walmart still work as two separate companies even after Walmart has owned Vudu for 9 years. You can still buy it again if you cancelled by accident.

My order just canceled so my initial question still stands. If I re-order will the instantwatch get added back to my Vudu account?

Maybe I?ll just see it Best Buy price matches Wal-Mart and bypass any potential issues.

I would suggest not re-ordering until after this situation is fully dealt with or it could possibly mess up instawatch for your new set that you order.

If you got instawatch the first time you should get it again when you reorder. The only thing you would probably have to worry about is if they sent you the other set as well and you had to return it, that could mess up your new instawatch from the reorder.
