Why does HDX stream look better than HDX download?

    HDX when streamed looks fine
    but
the download, which took 9 minutes for a 2hour 50 minute movie,
    shows boxes and grains.
When the camera moves nothing holds its shape and texture and it's like the kaleidoscope.

Is it my computer? I'm on Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz 4GB RAM. The stream shows no problems though.

Both stream and download come from the same source, there's no difference. If you haven't done so, it wouldn't hurt to update video card drivers on your computer to see if that helps. You can also enable hardware acceleration within the video to see if that helps as well.

It appears my integrated video card driver is up to date (although the intel website say there's a newer one - but the download page will not load).

As for turning on hardware acceleration in Vudu to go, I don't see any way to do that.

Must be that my computer is core 2 duo and not i5, according to
        1)
        http://www.vudu.com/faq.html
        and
        2)
intel website, which says the latest driver for my 'q45' won't install in anything less than i3 or so.

Please take a look at the following link on how to enable hardware acceleration in Flash.

Through my Firefox browser, in flash settings, I unclicked and reclicked 'Enable hardware acceleration'
            and also under flash settings
            increased local storage' to unlimited.
The movie looks much better now but it's still off. The side of the character's face when small still has waves when the camera moves.
Not like that at all when streaming in Firefox. Looks great in the browser.

              Hi,
it's the new year and since the last time I had this question I've upgraded from Windows 10 32-bit to Windows 10 64-bit, the computer is still Core 2 Duo but now the movie plays great! Love HDX!!

                Hi, it's jan.6
a few days ago when i posted, id used a different monitor.
back on the old one now and the movie plays badly again.
                must be the monitor.
                this one 's dvi (1680x1050),
                good one is hdmi 1080.
that can't be it, can it? to make it work right on this one.

the refresh rate says 59hz on this. not 60hz. can't make it stay on 60.

IT's feb 5. I want to add something.
Through HDMI on monitor 2, it plays.
...but it also gives reading of 59 hz, so maybe it being on 59 is not the prob.
