Restoring Secure Network Connection Error on new Samsung NU800D - VUDU unwatchable

I have a Samsung NU800D "Premium" 4k ultra HD tv I bought new less than a year ago. I cannot watch a VUDU movie on this TV. All other services work fine (Netflix, Prime Video, HULU, etc.).

Best case I stream a movie on VUDU and about every 5-10 minutes I get a "Secure network connection has been lost" - "Restoring Secure Network Connection"... and in about 30-120 seconds it will resume streaming, usually at the spot it stopped, but sometime jumping back in the movie. Occasionally It will crash all together and I have to restart the TV and VUDU and resume.

Worst Case scenario It will stream about the first 5-10 minutes of the movie then just crash to a white screen, never to be able to restart that movie. Just today, I tried to watch John Wick II (Which I own on VUDU) and ended up buying it again on Prime Video to be able to watch.

I own a lot of movies (about 75) I bought through VUDU/UV over the years, very disappointed with VUDU at this point.

Yea, I weirdly had the exact same issue on my WebOS LG TV a few years back, I am surprised you are having the exact same issue with your Samsung. It didn't seem to have anything to do with my internet speed, because it would do the same thing even when viewing in SD or even just browsing the app (Do you still get the "Secure network connection has been lost" error even if you just let the screen idle on the selection menu?), plus my Chromecast would stream 4K to the same TV just fine. All my support tickets would always devolve into speed tests though but I knew that was not the problem. I just ended up using my Chromecast for Vudu, until one day there was a Vudu app update on the TV and it suddenly just worked and I never had the problem again. Very frustrating but glad it was eventually fixed for the LG app.
