Latest Vudu update on Roku issues

So 2 days ago the Vudu app appears to have been updated on both my 2018 Roku Ultras. The UI has changed some and there is an issue with collections. The UHD collection has lost 80 titles. It showed 680 titles before the update and now only 600. On XBox, Sony UHD player and LG smart TV the collection still shows 680 titles. Additionally, the sort option now only has by Release Date and Most Watched. No alphabetical option. That sort option is still on all the other systems that have not been updated yet.

Plus as I posted a long time ago, ( https://forum.vudu.com/forum/vudu/ge...s-not-updating ) the Recommended lists have not updated on both my previous Ultras and now on my newer 2018 Ultras for months It does update on the the other devices. At the time I originally posted a member of support asked for my device IDs in a private DM. I supplied them, but never heard about it again.

A feature request while I'm in here. An option to filter by owned-not owned. I have a large UHD library. I regularly check for new titles in the UHD collection. It is getting more and more time consuming to scroll through the entire list looking for titles I do not already own. I know when a title is highlighted it shows owned or not, but that means every title must be highlighted to see if it is owned. Would be great if I could filter out already owned. Not just in UHD, but in all lists.

So now the LG TV and XBox have updated and have the same behavior. Additionally on the XBox there is no longer a sort by option, it was replaced with a view method option instead. Please return the Sort option. On the plus side, the XBox update has enabled Dolby Vision now. Woo Hoo for that.

      Hi Dadbart,

We're checking on the collection size right now. We'll also pass along your feature request

After comparing the two UI's, it looks like we're not listing Bundles in our UHD collection any longer. We'll pass this along to see if this is our expected behavior. I'll also pass your other requests for sorting along as well.

I've also noticed on Roku I can no longer sort movies (both my own and the ones in sale lists) by "most watched" and "Tomatometer".

Thanks DanielH for the response and passing on feature requests. I see the update has reached all my other devices now.

On a VERY positive note, the XBox app now supports Dolby Vision. Thank you so much to the developers for that. Works flawlessly so far. I tested several titles.

On a could be better (IMO) note. On some categories the sort options changed. Under Movies and UHD Collection for example there is no sort alphabetical or by release date. Now it just has by watch type-free or not. Makes it harder to spot titles recently added. Some areas have a Recent Releases filter, but there are thousands in it and they don't seem to be sorted by release date. The web UI has by release date and recently added (the latter being very useful). Would love to see those in the app as well as alphabetical.

Some of the UI changes I don't care for, but there may have been other reasons for those. Purely a personal taste item. Like the banners for Movie genres.

The Sale banner now shows on everything regardless of whether I already own it. Used to not show on titles I owned in the various Deals categories. I have thousands of titles, now it is harder to spot ones I don't already own when shopping deals. A user convenience item.

The UHD category explanations above explain the difference in count..As long as all the individual titles are available, then it is not really an issue whether bundles show or not unless it causes me to miss a deal.

They removed the Recommended tab, I used to be able to occasionally spot things I wanted in there. Although by the same token it had stopped updating on my Roku Ultras several months ago, so no real loss there. It had continued to update on my TV and XBox apps. Not on my Sony X700 either though.

I see some of the Sort option has returned on Roku, still not on Xbox 1X. Thanks for that, just missing alphabetical now.
