I also have had open tickets and since April including a few phone calls. I won't go into some of the things said to me verbally as those have no documentation. I can say that I've had some odd responses in emails.

I originally tried MA for help. MA sent me to VUDU. VUDU sent me to UV. UV said to contact MA and would close my tickets. I kept re-opening tickets with UV explaining they were the original cause of the issue.

Many times UV would forward the ticket to VUDU which resulted in duplicate tickets at VUDU. Fortunately VUDU has kept my original ticket open even though the issue has morphed and expanded since the original issue in April.

The issues I experienced, which happened 3 or 4 times were for titles originally entered into UV by other providers than VUDU. For instance titles redeemed or procured directly at Flixster, WB, Sony, Universal, etc. These titles flowed to VUDU via UV and to MA from VUDU as VUDU was the conduit to MA.

One suggestion was to contact the studios. Which I did. At the time I contacted the studios, they all still had records and UV was up to see what was from them. Some studios provided new codes to use on MA.

Sony was a bit different. As the titles originated in their system, they could still see the transactions. They also still had access to the UV locker for removals. They removed the titles from UV before issuing codes. This removed the titles from everywhere in UV. When entering the new codes it was as if the title was a new procurement. They were technically unable to provide 1 title.

The interesting thing was that UV did try to help 1 time by returning all the removed Sony titles back to UV. Which basically was not the issue. Kudos to the attempt.

Keep in mind Sony will do this only once per their policy. They were gracious to help with all my titles I asked for help. I probably should have had them remove all titles from Sony because when the glitch happened again, I lost another Sony title. This time they explained their policy was a one time courtesy.

For WB, I had to send pictures of the discs and code inserts. Universal was able to also see the transactions. There were 2 titles WB technically could not create new codes.

From the 3 or 4 times this happened to my account (MA titles going missing that originated outside VUDU), I had nearly 100 titles in this situation. Many didn't trigger an issue as I had owned them via other MA providers (from pre-MA times) so the titles stayed in MA from the previous providers. I ended with only 4 titles unable to be fixed.

    Green Lantern (2011) Theatrical (WB)
    Superman/Batman Apocalypse (WB)
    Spider-man: Homecoming (Sony)
    Midnight In Paris (Sony)

My hope has been that VUDU could track down the erroneous refund requests sent from their system to MA and somehow reverse/remove the transactions. They have tried some things over the course of the last 4 months to help. Nothing has worked yet. VUDU support has also had some suggestions which when we send ideas back and forth for consideration we realize won't work.

My hope still is that this can be fixed for all of us to have all the titles that used to flow from UV through VUDU to MA to flow back to MA again.

Thank you Felipe for letting us know this is getting some attention. We do appreciate the communication and help.

If you open a ticket at the UltraViolet zendesk support site for any issues the autoreply includes information to still log in to your UV account. It says it is temporary (actually it says "temperature" but I assume they meant to say temporary).

Sorry, my comment was addressing the last trigger in May and it's true for that case. But there's no reason to think that a rights token deletion is the only circumstance where Vudu issues a refund to MA. Any case where Vudu loses track of a UV rights token could cause refunds to be issued to MA, and subsequent restoration of those rights tokens will not reissue transactions to MA to restore those entitlements

UV may have started making preparations to close in January or earlier. It's possible those preparations created disruptions between UV and Vudu, causing some rights tokens temporarily disappear and triggering the Vudu bug each time.

Ok folks, we are rolling out a fix sometime in a week to help resolve this current issue. It might also resolve those who were previously having issues with UV deleting their UV rights on certain titles.

That will be great if it fixes the older issue also. Thank you so much.

Please can you let us know when the fix has been applied on this thread, so we can check. Fingers crossed it resolves my missing MA movies issues. Thankfully all have come back in Vudu.

Sorry Felipe can you confirm this fix is to resolve the issue of the titles being deleted or definition being downgraded from MA in error due issues with UV from earlier this week?

I have had more movies removed from my MA account today. I was watching Lost in America on my MA app on Friday while I was travelling and today when I go in to finish the movie it shows Vudu has removed it when I review the transaction history. There are a number of titles showing as removed today.

When I go into Vudu it shows that all the missing titles have been upgraded to HDX there but MA shows the SD being removed and no port of HDX definition coming in. Please can you advise.

So far it's happened to 10 titles today! This is becoming a joke!!!

Some weird activity happened today to me for a couple of titles, but luckily I haven't lost anything else (yet).

VUDU already errantly took away my Altered States MA SD rights on 4/6/19, when they took away over 200 other rights inappropriately. They did something at VUDU today to show that I own HDX rights (via UV) despite only an SD encode being available there. This was done (in an attempt) to get HD rights to port through to MA. The funny thing is that my MA Transaction History shows an Altered States VUDU SD entry for 8/18, but yet I STILL don't own it in any way at MA.

Ghostbusters 2016 also has an entry today in my MA Transaction History, despite the fact that VUDU already had it errantly removed from MA on 4/6/19. Luckily, Sony provided me with a new 4K code a month ago that I redeemed directly at MA. As such, I still own both versions at MA in 4K.

Mine are all back thank you. Discount your MA account from VUDU for at least 30mins. then re-connect.

This seems to have worked for me as well. BIG thanks to VUDU for all the work put in over the weekend adding HD and 4K rights and creating a fix for these errantly removed MA rights. These are two gargantuan steps forward!

Now get to work adding the actual HDX and UHD encodes to go with the slew of HD and UHD rights added on Sunday.

Disconnecting, waiting 30 minutes, and reconnecting fixed my missing movies too. It caused Vudu to resend almost the entire list of owned movies to Movies Anywhere, so they now show up as the most recently added in Movies Anywhere.

Has UV finally taken down the proxy server? I no longer seem to have access.
