    Spectre problem

Sorry to say guys but you might have to look into getting a new copy of Spectre - it's missing all subtitles for when characters are speaking in a foreign language (the bit starting at 5:10 being a prime example)...

Thanks for pointing that out to us, I've already notified the content team about this.

I just purchased this only to find the same issue. This is not right guys. I'm hoping there aren't alot of subtitles throughout the movie. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

Did anyone see it in theaters and see subtitles. I want to say they weren't there in theaters but I can't be sure.

They were. They specifically make mention of the "Pail king". You hear them mention it before bond does later in the film. Bond also makes his "I'm Mickey mouse" comment in Italian when entering the Spectre meeting, but there are no subtitles. People who have watched the digital copy from other retailers have said that the subtitles are present as well.

I watched it this weekend and thought it was missing them, but when I turned Closed Captioning on, they were not there either and was confused.

Thanks for pointing this out. I will have to watch it again once this is corrected.

It's a very big problem with this movie, because it's not just throwaway dialog but important scenes. Another example is the entire Spectre meeting. Every word of it is in a foreign language. Until this problem is fixed it's darn near unwatchable.

Any expected timeframe for this fix?

Also, I spoke with some family and friends that have seen this movie in theaters, and the unanamous response was yes, there were in fact subtitles for Spectre in theater showings.

                  Re: Spectre problem

We have added closed captioning for those parts in the movie where English is not spoken. Closed captioning must be turned on to see the subtitles. This should take effect by end of day today.

Thanks Felipe, although that's odd that that's the best that can be done. I can confirm that the iTunes version has the subtitles like the theatrical release did. I know it's taboo to mention other services on here - I do so in this case to show how this movie can/should be...

Understood, no worries. We are still in talks with the studio about this issue. For the meantime, you will need to use closed captioning for subtitles.

So the closed caption fix is just temporary right? You are reaching out to the studio to get a version with the subtitles included?

Not sure, we haven't heard back from the studio. I've previously stated we are still talking with the studio about this issue.

Has there been any (permanent) resolution to this issue? I have been delaying purchasing the film until it can be viewed without the need to turn on closed captions.
