    Only SD option - NVIDIA Shield

    Just randomly today NONE of my movies are available to watch in any mode other than SD. I have been using this Nvidia Shield for years and had no issues until today. If I log on with my PC, HDX is available. Can someone please look into my issue? I signed out of the app and signed back in with no fix. I just want to watch my movie tonight in HDX!

    Vudu update version 5.0.35 just downgraded my UHD playback to SD on my Nvidia Shield that was already downgraded to HD. Can someone at VUDU please reach out to Vudu tech support and ask them what are they doing on their server updates to fix 4K HDR?

        Nvidia Shield has responded quote?Vudu is still working on the server/app update to bring 4k back to SHIELD, we don't have a committed date from them but they are working on it and hope to have it in the next 2 weeks. It's coming... They did drop a new app that falls back to 720p vs 1080p yesterday.?quote

            Any update Vudu? Why can't I watch my movies in HDX or UHD? When will this be fixed? Why is it okay to keep us in the dark about this? It's not only the fact that we can't access what we pay for, it's also the fact that you don't respect your customers enough to communicate with them.

              We had to temporarily downgrade all streaming to SD on the Nvidia Shield dues to a DRM bug that Nvidia discovered a week or so ago. We hope this gets resolved by mid-October, sorry for the inconvenience.

                Keep in mind you can still cast to the Shield in up to UHD. It's just the native Vudu app that is limited at the moment.

                    If you cast will you have full audio encoding, like ATMOS?

                      This issue has been resolved. Please make sure you update your Shield's firmware as well as the Vudu app.

                        JohnA FelipeF Can we please get a "continue watching"//"watch next" button for tv episodes? When watching several episodes of the same show, it would be great if they could just keep playing (like they do on the roku/most other versions of the vudu app).

                          There are a number of features in development to get Android TV up to parity with some existing features on other apps - this is one of them. Can't give an ETA yet but it's coming.

                            this SD bug is still happening occasionally on my Shield
                            happen twice tonight everything went SD and would not play had to reboot to fix
                            will the Vudu shield app ever be fixed so it compares to the other ones like the Roku app
