I admire both of you trying to respond in the appropriate manner. Look, I have over 360 4K movies, each one of them purchased new. In addition, I have purchased more than 15 4K Disk+Digital movies from Vudu. This is not my first rodeo. For anyone collecting both a physical disk collection and a digital library have learned how to use the various tools available. Where my frustration comes from as it relates to Vudu, is that it gives the appearance, whether it is factual or not, that Vudu is enhancing the revenue stream. By dragging their feet just a bit allows that to happen.

It just gets old when my list gets longer and longer of movies I purchased at the 4K level and I can only get HDX digitally, and my patience was exhausted when the rope-a-dope was done with the Daniel Craig movie, whether it was intentional or not. My question is why do we have to keep revisiting this....did Vudu not remember what day the Daniel Craig Collection was being released? And it is sad there is not a procedure in place that I can not clear up my own library other than spending another $745.00 on what it would take for the 49 or 53 or whatever the total is now to get those movies to the level I purchased them at in the first place. Really?

I disagree. You should be redeeming on a provider as opposed to MA whenever it is possible (4ksheet.com will tell you where it can be redeemed safely). If something happened to your MA account you would lose those movies in the connected providers, but if you are redeeming your codes on Vudu, FN, iTunes, etc. - you can just create a new MA account and connect your providers to that account and your movies will port out of provider where redeemed then through MA to all connected providers.

But, more importantly - how is the Daniel Craig Bond Collection UHD not enabled on Vudu yet? The code does not redeem on any other provider. I was getting my hopes up when Quantum of Solace had UHD enabled - then nothing. No Vudu responses to this post either...

I'm not making a judgment about Vudu policies. I'm just making the observation, that if you have a 4K code and it is MA, you should be redeeming at MA and not Vudu. If it's not MA, check that it is a 4K code (some of the titles you list came with HD codes according to FelipeF and that is a studio decision) and if Vudu has the 4K content before redeeming.

As you say, it's been three years. I wouldn't expect anything to suddenly change.

You can work around this with Movies Anywhere titles by redeeming at Movies Anywhere directly (and letting it port to Vudu), but for non MA titles you need to make sure that Vudu offers the title/s in UHD before redeeming a UHD code.
OK, So what does that mean about Vudu when I redeem at MA and it redeems at the UHD level, and Vudu only gives HDX. Are you trying to sell that it doesn't look just a bit inappropriate? I can live with a movie that doesn't transfer at the UHD level, but when it does at other retailers and Vudu miraculously comes up with a UHD redemption after I have already redeemed the movie, and then shrugs their shoulders when I try to get it corrected...well, that smells. We are over three years into this process and 3 years ago that may have been an appropriate answer. If it just happened every now and then, it would be ok. But how about 49 times it has happened to me.

Personally I'm waiting until they issue a complete 4K set which will happen eventually.

This is getting ridiculous. This code is only redeemable on Vudu. There is a separate HD code included with the 4K code, but yet both redeem in HD. Why has there been no movement on this? This is pure laziness.

I hope Vudu content team can contact MGM and request - a much faster avenue. And this should be a priority as the 4k Digital codes provided with the product only redeem at Vudu. Nice exclusive - but they NEED THE 4k FILES

I would call MGM and ask them what is happening...

    356 UHD
    778 HDX
