Prepaid credit and debit cards work fine. I use them to add money to and buy movies here. The billing info here was never updated to my new billing info on my new card, and it still accepts my payment, so the thing about incorrect address, I do find a bit fishy!

You can register prepaid cards with Paypal too, then set them to be the default payment method for Vudu.

I've used a Blubird (AE), Walmart debit cards that are Visa and MC. Any with AE, Visa and MC logos.

Vudu gift cards are a bad idea. It should just be WALMART gift cards! Vudu is a Walmart company, start accepting Walmart gift cards. It's only logical!

I've used (Prepaid) Bluebird with Vudu, and it works beautifully. Of course, Bluebird is a joint AMEX / Walmart venture, so you know there will be no problems on Vudu. Another option: Use your prepaid card to purchase a Walmart Gift Card and use THAT to purchase on movies. As of recently, Walmart Gift Cards are an acceptable currency on Vudu.

Good news on the gift cards!

I checked the site Help, and all of the Payment and Billing pages are gone.

I'd prefer to see separate Vudu gift cards, as they're more likely to be available at a significant discount to face value than standard Walmart gift cards.

In other words, I can imagine a sale where Vudu gift cards are sold at 20% off (much like iTunes gift cards), but I can't ever imagine seeing Walmart gift cards for sale at 20% off.

What makes Walmart gift cards better is that they are universal. Someone who isn't a movie buff or into digital movies might not know what Vudu is. Walmart is simple. You're having a Secret Santa at work at the boss asks you to write down gift ideas...Walmart gift card. Walmart gift cards are more likely to be given as prizes and insentives (we always have contests at work and Walmart gift cards are a frequent prize). Your elderly mom doesn't know what to get you for christmas? Walmart gift card! (Try explaining 'Vudu' or 'ultraviolet' to my mom....she hasn't mastered a flip phone yet!) It's just simplicity.

The thing is everyone knows what Walmart is. Not everyone knows what Vudu is. Walmart gift cards lead to less confusion. When my aunt or uncle calls my brother and asks what to get me for a gift, if he said 'Vudu gift cards' they'd most likely say, "What??" and I'd get a sweater because they didn't want to be bothered looking into what that was. Say 'Walmart gift card' and everyone knows exactly what you're talking about. And then on a birthday when cousin Phil gives you that fajita maker that you'll never use, you can return it to walmart and use the store credit on Vudu
