    Studio Ghibli!

Studio Ghibli movies are now available for pre-order! Looks like almost ALL of them (I don't see "The Wind Rises"), and they will be available to stream on Dec. 17th.
Most are available in original Japanese with Subs, or Dubbed versions. (Too bad not both in a bundle). They are $20 each.
I believe they will be available across all platforms.
    • Castle in the Sky
    • The Cat Returns
    • From Up on Poppy Hill
    • Howl's Moving Castle
    • Kiki's Delivery Service
    • My Neighbor Totoro
    • My Neighbors the Yamadas
    • Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
    • Only Yesterday
    • Ocean Waves
    • Pom Poko
    • Ponyo
    • Porco Rosso
    • Princess Mononoke
    • The Secret World of Arrietty
    • Spirited Away
    • The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
    • Tales From Earthsea
    • When Marnie Was There
    • Whisper of the Heart
Thank you Studio Ghibli, GKids, and Vudu for finally making these available!

Very exciting news but to be fair for $20 we should be getting both versions of the movie.

It's like VUDU doesn't even want my $$ since I see other retailers who have packaged them together in both languages.

This has always annoyed me about Vudu.... Also they need to have a bundle of all movies. Then I will buy.

Where? I can't find them on Amazon, iTunes, or Fandango.

They're included in the iTunes Extras much like they do with extended cuts of films. Only problem is so far Apple doesn't seem to let you view the extras through their Apple TV Roku app.

Please bundle both languages together. I'd prefer to buy them at Vudu. But I'm not going to buy them here if seperate language versions are $20 each.

That is unfortunate, but at least it's something that can be added in the future. I don't think? that Apple has said that features will be exclusive to Apple devices, just the state of current app as it is now. Unless VUDU offers bundles, I won't be buying here unless something changes, these films are not worth $40 each to be able to have the dub and original version. Wal-Mart has offered dual language bundles via Instawatch for some anime releases, it's bizarre they don't actually sell them this way though (My Hero Academia movie, etc).

Dub and Sub should always come together, they do on physical media without paying extra and the same should apply to digital.

Note we were able to get this changed to allow the original version as a locked extra - if you pre-ordered the Japanese language version it will be converted to a pre-order for the English one. In any case the Japanese version will become an extra of the English version instead of a standalone movie. Might take a bit for this to be completed but should be well before the release date.

That is awesome news! Are there any plans to offer the bundle of 6 Hayao Miyazaki films that has been reported in several articles? Thanks again for the information.

I see the extra now, but there's no detailed description as to what it is; just the box art. This is such a hot issue for anime fans, you may want to highlight the original and the English dub are included. Personally, I prefer the originals.
