    The Addams Family 2019

Has anyone been able to get their digital code to work?

    #2
The digital copy code only redeems on iTunes. You can redeem in iTunes and watch it in 4K (free upgrade) via any Apple device, or the AppleTV app available on Roku, Fire, and select smart televisions.

The disc was released by Universal, who is part of MoviesAnywhere, however, MGM owns the digital rights, and they are not part of MA, so the disc comes with an iTunes only code.

What kind of hogwash is that? When did codes start going out as crapple only? Guess i need to look at the back of the movie for now on.

STX is always iTunes only and some MGM are - so yeah; it sucks, but need to look on the back of the package. STX is the bigger issue IMO, even though I hated having to redeem Addams Family on iTunes. Vudu no longer responds to our concerns, so it will probably just be us talking back and forth. It's pretty shameful.

This is absolutely ridiculous, previous codes would still redeem on Vudu even if the slipcover only claimed to be iTunes. MoviesAnywhere has turned out to be less than desirable since it's cause more issues (less support) with studios than UV. I'm just tired of my digital collection being fragmented across multiple retailers/lockers.

So, what is the "redeem" button on the Addams Family page on Vudu for then?

AFAIK the redeem button will be there if a title is InstaWatch. If Addams Family is InstaWatch that would explain the redeem button.

I don't see InstaWatch listed anywhere on WM or Vudu for this title.

Does InstaWatch provide a code... they've always been automatic for me by either scanning a receipt in the WM app or by purchasing online (shipment or pickup).

It seems Addams Family Blu-ray is InstaWatch. The redeem button is some kind of side effect. My point is that a redeem button doesn't mean there is a code slip that is compatible so I wouldn't rely on that at all.
