In order to buy 4k UHD upgrades for WB, why can't u buy it from a non-Vudu retailer...judging from what y'all are saying then non-FandangoNow too?

Not WB MA but for my Sony MA experience: I bought Spider-man Homecoming in HD on Google Play for like $10 which ported HD version to MA. Some time later GP upgraded their Sony movies to 4K later for streaming, MA still only sees the HD license. Microsoft then had the 4k UHD Spider-man Homecoming & Into the Spider Verse bundle for $10, basically free thx to Microsoft Rewards, bought it. The 4k UHD license ported everywhere thru MA.
It was a while ago but I think I had to log out, add Spider-man bundle into cart then log back into Microsoft if I couldn't add the bundle into my cart if site probably said I own 1 of them already. I would assume upgrading at Amazon would work too...?
Amazon is easier to buy an upgrade because they keep the 4k versions as completely different files. The SD/HD versions are different purchases whereas all the other streaming vendors keep SD/HD/UHD as one purchased title.

    391 UHD
    765 HDX
    3 SD

True, but Amazon doesn't seem to carry any WB titles in UHD. I only see Disney and Sony titles available in 4K UHD there.

Yeah, I don't know why that is? You would think they would have all the available 4k titles as all the other streaming vendors. Very strange?

          Questions still

          (1) What happens in bundle redeems when you own one of these upgrade-eligible titles? Example: Vudu upgrades Charlie Brown Christmas for me for free. I go to redeem the Peanuts Holiday 4K code as Vudu is the only place to redeem. Does it just burn the new redeem of the Christmas movie or will it port out to MA in 4K?
          (2) Is this only for old purchases or will this be for future 4K that are added to Vudu when Vudu only had the HD prior?
          (3) Is there a way Vudu can allow for 4K code redeems to port to MA instead of burning the code if someone wants to redeem again after the free upgrades? Similar to how iTunes works. Instead of burning the code, they port a new copy to MA. iTunes allows subsequent redemptions that will export to MA as 4K, unknown what Vudu does at this time.
          (4) Do HDX purchases in bundles get upgraded? So far it appears no.
          (5) Do HDX purchases from Mix and Match promos receive the upgrade?
          (6) Do disc + digital purchases receive the upgrade?

Also another question - do these free upgrades appear in the Vudu transaction list? And do the titles 'pop to the front page'?

I guess none of yours upgraded to see...
mine upgraded which added itself in Vudu transaction list but it did not pop to the top of the list. It was mentioned earlier that d2d does not get upgraded

What are some examples of titles that were upgraded? Do you still have option to purchase after upgrade?

So I?m sure Vudu is going to refund me for all the times recently I?ve paid for UHD on WB titles I already owned in HDX, right? Matrix, Batman, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Shining, Mar Max Fury Road... oh how about any movie I paid $5 more for on UHD than HDX?

Why should they? You made the choice to make these purchases. This is the risk you make every time you purchase something with any retailer.

Yeah I don?t expect they will, but I don?t think it?s much of a coincidence that they were recently pushing UHD versions of a lot of WB movies.

Does a Warner title get upgraded to UHD if I purchase today?

I think that vudu needs a better way to roll and communicate these new features to the customer. Why cant you guys brainstorm all of the question that you will get from customer and then put everything in bulletin. This crap is confusing as hell.

I find it hard to believe that none of my 126 warner brother's titles were upgraded. Maybe they haven't gotten to me, yet. I wish I knew which titles I purchased through the D2D offer. Also, I know this is moot but I've only purchased on VUDU and I would have hoped that D2D, which is done through VUDU, would have counted as VUDU purchases. Guess if you didn't buy it at full price/or sale price it doesn't count. That's a shame, and kind of crappy. Yes, let's all complain about getting something for nothing.

An interesting thing I do know now: D2D titles do not show up in your purchase history. That's interesting...and enlightening from the standpoint of upgrades. I know, what a noob I am.

Scratch that, I had 4 of 126 warner brother's titles upgrade: Inception, Sully, The Nice Guys and the Wizard of Oz. Two of these I already owned in UHD, so...Also, out of curiosity, is it WB's intent to upgrade some of their titles that are not available in UHD to BE available in UHD?
