Ford v. Ferrari UHD missing Atmos

Hi can Dolby Atmos be added to Ford v. Ferrari UHD stream? It?s available via iTunes and Movies Anywhere but not VUDU.

    Thanks!

Even though Vudu won't publicly comment on this, at least not in the past when I've tried to address it, they don't support HDR10 content with Dolby Atmos (unless Dolby Vision is also part of the release). That's why so many Fox movies are without Atmos at Vudu, and Universal releases that use HDR10 in place of Dolby Vision. I wish they would change that, but it has been years.

        Hustlers does.

Ford v Ferrari and Ad Astra both have DV and Atmos on iTunes. Vudu is slacking, unfortunately.

That is true, I didn't notice that before. I think there is a Paramount movie that is like this also, or at least was at one point (but a Dolby Vision version exists outside of Vudu in that case). A rep once commented that they would add Atmos mixes when the studio provided them, but that post was later deleted after additional pushback on that comment.

Oh goodie, I thought to myself, and purchased FvF on Apple TV, only to discover that the Apple TV app DOES NOT support Atmos or HDR on any device. If you buy a movie on Apple, you can only get HDR and Atmos by watching through the expensive Apple box.

I read an article that it's coming to the Apple TV app on LG TVs later this year, but for Samsung TVs, Roku, and Fire sticks, no word on if or when it'll be available. I'll probably cancel the purchase, since the Vudu app on my Samsung TV will at least play the movie in 7.1. The Apple app won't handle DD+ at all, so DD5.1 is the best it can do.

Does anyone know if a service other than Apple offers FvF with an Atmos track? As far as I can tell, it's the only one, but on some services like Amazon Prime, you can't tell until you actually buy the content. So unless you're using an actual Apple TV 4K box, you can't stream this movie in anything more than 5.1.

If you can afford the Apple TV 4K, get it. It's the best for watching movies, by far. But I know it's expensive.
