Would you consider paying $10 just for the SD version of other Disney movies?

This is my first topic post on this forum, by the way.

I was looking at some of movies from Disney's library, and I noticed that they have a more hefty price for their movies on digital, for movies from Disney that are not well-known, you would either be paying $18 for the HDX versions, and for the movies of Disney that are well-known (such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid), you would either be paying $15 for the SD versions, or $20 (which is the amount for a recent movie release on Digital) for the HDX versions.

It's not really a problem for most well-known Disney movies, considering that you could get a recent Blu-ray of the movie with the digital code. But it's a problem for the movies that are not as well-known, since they are very likely not to be reprinted with digital codes, and since those are Disney movies, they can't be converted to Disc-to-Digital (due to Disney being one of those studios not to participate in Disc-to-Digital).

But I am considering getting one of the movies in SD quality for $10, since the price is more regular than the $18 HD price.

    Would you do the same?

I never go with a lower quality. Now I am always buying UHDversions (where available) even though I don?t have a 4K tv yet. I know I will eventually get one and I don?t want to pay more to upgrade later when I can pay a few more dollars now for it. In the case of SD or HD there is such a huge difference between SD and HD in terms of quality, I wouldn?t even consider buying SD unless that is all that is available, even then I would give it second thoughts!

Never, if they're that unimportant just get the disc from Netflix and watch them that way.

I never bought any Disney movies in SD, but when Disc to Digital first came out I purchased about 50 movies in SD. At that time I didn't have a TV bigger than 32 inches, so HD wasn't that important.I now wish I had paid the extra 3 dollars.

Sd quality is ok, even good, if you are watching from a phone or tablet. However, sd quality is almost unwatchable on a TV. Everything is fuzzy or blurry.

I already mentioned that Disney is one of those studios not to participate in Disc-to-Digital.

I'm not the type of person who likes renting movies.

Depends on the movie and where/how I intend to watch it. But, for the most part the answer would be no.

There is only one Disney title I would be glad if even showed up in sd to purchase that would be, "Scarecrow of Romney Marsh: alas the Dr. Syn"
