Is there a cap on how many Vudu "Lists" I can make? (also a suggestion)

I am making lists and buying even more movies than ever now because I want them complete LOL I just want to know is a list Cap/Maximum?
I would hate to waste time making them and end up having to delete them later due to hitting a cap.
    also
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow for us to organize the lists themselves. I creat lists at random when they spring to mind and I would love to put all the kids ones first for my family and push the rest down.

I think I've read there is a 200 limit per list.

I would also like to be able to organize the lists, at least Alphabetically.

As it is now, adding a new list simply adds it to the top, and pushes all the others down, rather than throwing it in alphabetically.

VUDU search and organize features are very limited. Is there any chance we will see this improved upon in the future?

Example, let's say I want to watch Star Wars from my Movies listings. I have to sort alphabetically and then scroll down to find it. Why not just let me just jump to "S"?

Also, listings could be more refined than they are. Example, I bought a Bundle for Flash, Seasons 1 to 4. There have been 2 Seasons since. So now my TV listings include both the Bundle and the "Series." Why doesn't the Bundle simply combine into the Series, rather than add what is essentially a duplicate listing?

Speaking of Bundles, movie bundles often include unrelated movies, other than by a Director, Topic, a Star, or some such. The Bundle then appears in our listings as a Bundle. So, when we browse our listings for a movie that may in a given bundle, we will not easily find that Movie, unless we open each Bundle to find it. It might be better that, when purchased, the movies in a bundle were added to our lists individually.

However, if movies have sequels, it would be nice if they were added to a "Series" like TV shows are (i.e. Star Wars "Series").

Or, if movies are remakes of older movies, it might be good if they were also listed is a set, such as a "Reprise" set (i.e. War of the Worlds "Reprise").

How about a way to sort and / or separate things we have watched or have not watched (unwatched)?

How about a way to sort VUDU listings by Rental and / or Buy price? I often come across things that are 0.99 to 4.99 on a semi-regular basis, that are not "on sale" items. They are priced that way as a regular price. Bargain shopping would be so much easier if we could do this.

It would also be nice it things we all ready own (in any format) were filtered out, or hidden, so that we don't see them again, when shopping.

Lastly, there are "Network" listings for TV. This list includes some "Networks" that literally have very few listings. Meanwhile, obvious Networks are missing... that have original shows that are available on VUDU... such as HULU, Netflix, Amazon and VUDU.

Thank you for this info. Now I know how many in EACH list but I would like to know if there is a CAP on the TOTAL number of lists.

Currently it is limited to 100 lists and 200 titles per list - and agree that the options for sorting them could be better. But rest assured we have a lot of plans for the feature and are listening to your feedback to prioritize them.

We absolutely plan to increase the limits as well as add options for sorting your lists, among many other things. Can't give any exact dates but it's a priority.

And speaking of bundles - agreed and unbundling & recombining in your own custom list/series/etc is also a great feature we want to provide. We appreciate your suggestions and enthusiasm!

Well, here we are over three years later and the limits are still 100 lists and 200 per list.
I'm checking because I have 98 lists and I figured [correctly] that I was bumping up against a list limit.

As it is, I've already had to create unnecessary lists due to limits.
For example, I had to split my Certified Fresh list into two lists because of the per list limit.
Now, Certified Fresh A-M by itself is bumping up against the per list limit at 196.

I have lists for each decade, but I had to split The 2010s because the total for the decade exceeded 200.
I have lists by franchise (e.g. Jurassic Planet, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Trek, James Bond 007, The Thin Man).
I have lists by theme (e.g. Noir Stories, Monster Pictures, Disaster Porn, Films of the Heart, Costner on Baseball).
I have collections. (e.g. Documentaries, Alfred Hitchcock, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, Steven Spielberg)
I even have lists for TV shows.

Whatever the mind can conceive, I could see someone easily exceed the lists and per list limits.
So, my question is, are list expansions still a priority?

            Thanks for reading.

            Ciao for now!
            Mike

              Hi,

I agree that increasing the limits would be a good thing. I also had to create a separate list for this reason at one point (I do not remember the exact number, but the 200 mentioned earlier does sound familiar).

That said, I exclusively use the custom lists along with the custom sorting order, so for me that functionality is absolutely essential and working perfectly right now; nothing whatsoever needs to be or should be changed on that. In fact, I think this combination of features (custom lists and custom sorting order) is one of the best and most important features in the entire Vudu interface.

Therefore, I think it is very important to emphasize with regards to the feature requests in this thread that we do NOT want any changes to that existing, essential functionality; any new functionality such as new sorting options would be only in ADDITION to what we already have, but most certainly NOT a replacement for it. I'm sure this is what everyone means (additional features that do NOT replace the existing features), but it seems worth stating it explicitly and clearly just to make sure the development staff clearly understands what we are requesting.

              Thanks
