    Roku's Movie and TV Store

Roku's Movie and TV Store is now listed as "by VUDU" where it previously stated "by FandangoNow." Thought this was interesting.

Only on Roku's sold at Walmart, which don't have Fandango now along the side. Walmart didn't want to have another service advertised in such a manner.

I've had this Roku for years and it previously said FandangoNow until the new software update which now shows VUDU.

If this is true, I hope it means FandangoNow will merge into Vudu and Vudu will be what we are left with.

The FandangoNow app was just released on the Apple TV. There's even a message about 4K support coming soon.

Why would they put in this effort/development if planning on scrapping it. I think both platforms are staying for the time being.

I updated two Roku's as well and they both still indicate FandangoNow.

              765 HDX

My newly purchased TCL Roku TV (from
Best Buy) still shows FandangoNow and was recently updated as.

When I first got the set I was freaked out as the FandangoNow app didn’t load a long with the others on my account, nor could I find it in the App Store. Then I realized it why in the My Roku Movies and TV menus.

I stand by that this only on roku's sold at walmart. Nothing was switched, walmart simply had no movie & tv section along the left side, until a recent upgrade that added was is simply an advertisement for vudu, no library section. Just titles to purchase and rent. I have Roku brand Smart soundbar that has fandango now on the left side menu and I have Walmart Roku Onn soundbar that has the vudu advertisement. I have one other rolu premiere plus that was a walmart exclusive, it has has the vudu movie & tv section. There are 9 other roku's in use in my house that only have fandango now. None of them were purchased from walmart.

Strange. We have a Roku TV (bought from Amazon) and 2 separate Rokus bought from Walmart and both of those say Fandango?

Roku 3's sold at walmart were the same roku's sold elsewhere, no vudu key remote, no W in the model number. Those were the only models I knew that didn't follow the walmart script. I don't think walmart cared about Mgo being along the side as they're about fandango now being there.
