Purchased Movies Not Showing Up in My List

Weds 8/12/20 evening (PT) I purchased two movies through the VUDU app on XBox One. I received a billing confirmation via Microsoft (I have two confirmation emails dated 8/13/20, they show up in my XB/MS order history, account history etc) that the purchase and payment went through, but the movies do not appear anywhere under my account in the VUDU app or on the VUDU.com site.

I have gone through XB support and there is no issue on their side, these purchases show as completed purchases in all MS locations.

I have purchased many movies through the app and site and have never had any issues.

At a loss on how to get some support for this issue.

Sounds like you purchased through Microsoft Movies & TV not through Vudu. If you buy through Vudu you should not receive receipt from Microsoft.

It is possible that movies purchased through Microsoft can import into Vudu if you have both accounts linked to Movies Anywhere. Perhaps in the past this has been the case but this time you purchased movie that is not compatible?

I purchased The Rock off iTunes yesterday expecting it to carry over to my vudu account and it still hasn’t shown up? I thought by it being a Disney title it would carry over through movie anywhere? Same for Who is Afraid of Virginia Wolf since that is Warner Brothers? Does anyone know why these titles won’t show up on vudu? I regret buying them since everything I purchase is intended for my vudu account and not iTunes or Amazon.

Also does anyone know if IFC Films purchases on iTunes carry over to VUDU because I’m very interested in the $20 deal for all 4 trip films but I don’t want to purchase of I can’t get them to vudu. Look forward to hearing! Thank you!

The Rock should port. If it hasn't after 24 hours, try disconnecting iTunes from MA and reconnecting. If that doesn't work, contact MA and ask them for a refresh to try and get it to port. Who Is Afraid of Virginia Wolf does not show up in a search at MA. The title also does not have an MA symbol in Vudu so it does not seem to be an MA enabled title. A good way to check if a title is MA and will port is to search for the title at Movies Anywhere. If it shows up in a search, it is MA enabled and should port. If it does not show up in a search, it's not MA enabled and won't port (you can use this way to check to see if those IFC films will port or not).

To the OP, if the titles you purchased are MA enabled, do the same as I said above (disconnect Microsoft from MA and reconnect and then contact MA for a refresh if it doesn't work). Make sure they are MA enabled titles first. If they are not MA then they are only available to watch in the retailer you purchased from...in this case, Microsoft Movies and TV. If you purchased them from the Vudu app, sign out of the website and sign back in to see if they show. If they don't, you likely purchased them from Microsoft Movies and TV and not from Vudu.

Not all Disney titles are Movies Anywhere. You have to look for the logo. This goes back to the system Disney had before MA. You could get a digital download but it wouldn't appear in your stream-able library.

Oddly though I own The Rock and it has a MA logo on it. So maybe disconnect and reconnect and see if it appears.
