When will the UHD collection expand?

First off I want to thanks Vudu for providing the only streaming service for movies in 4k DV (besides Netflix with its few titles). My question is why is there only 40 or so titles available? And some of the titles are just studpid. The Hangover?? Really thats the best you can do with this new format. Where are the Avatars and the Interestellars and the Laurence of Arabia? I want thousands of titles to be available. For $10 each they should have a MUCH larger selection to choose from. Has there been a roadmap or timetable or plans announced anywhere which detail when and what Vudu is going to add to UHD?

    Thanks

This time around when going from 2k to 4k quality the studios and streaming providers seem to have lots of DEALS in place where you can only play certain 4k titles on certain TV, devices, etc. Vudu seems to have made a deal with Warner Bros. and Dolby Vision for titles where only that studio is represented on Vudu UHD. FandangoNow has another deal with another studio and so on. Who knows how long these deals will stay in place and until all these are over with, the customer is stuck.

I am looking for more of the Warner Brothers library, especially LOTR real cut, extended cut, happy cut, extra $ director cut, etc to come out on UHD.

If it's purchased in UV, you should be able to watch it in UV compliant devices.

Especially galling to find that the best possible picture available for movie aficionados, seems to be dependent NOT on the quality of the TV, but the maker of the equipment? EVENTUALLY, it will all be available in UHD. Probably when superduperultimateHD is available. I'm just cranky that titles released in UHD in other media/devices, I will now have to upgrade my hdx for the lowly full price of 29.99

I just noticed the "The Conjuring" says the studio is New Line Cinema so maybe this studio is also owned by Warner Bros. or they have agreements with more than one studio?

A bigger part of me wants them to offer an upgrade to UHD if you own HDX already. Like $9.99 to step up your owned title from HDX to UHD.

I agree but would be very surprised if the offered it since they didn't offer SD to HD for a reduced rate and it probably has to do more with the studio. Sony offers such an upgrade on some of their titles when upgrading on Ultra.

That sounds sensible, but then Vudu doesn't offer reduced-price upgrades from SD to HD/HDX -- unless you count disc-to-digital from DVD to HDX. However, it could be worse: AFAIK other UV providers don't even offer full-price upgrades from SD to HD (or from either to UHD) like Vudu does.

Do all the movies offered by VUDU in UHD redeem as UHD when you purchase the UHD 4k Disk w/ code? Does anyone know if they will redeem in UHD other than the BvS movie? example Lego Movie, Point Break, etc?
                    Thanks

Some of the individual studios are doing this already. I would caution anyone against paying full price for an upgrade.
