    Android update changed selection view on downloaded movies

    I always keep around 150 of my favorite movies downloaded on an SD card for viewing when internet is not available, slow or when charges can be incurred. The latest Vudu update on my Android tablet changed 2 features on downloaded movie arrangements, one positive, and one frustratingly negative.

    First, during Vudu customer surveys and in suggestions, I had requested as an update feature the ability to sort downloaded movies alphabetically so I could quickly find the movie I wanted. An ability to sort downloaded movies alphabetically and by release date is now available. Thanks, VUDU!

    However, when you added this feature you broke the efficiency of being able to scroll through a large list of downloaded movies quickly. Now, instead of being able to view movies in rows of 4 (portrait) or 6(landscape) across, only one movie in a row is viewable in portrait mode, or 2 in landscape mode. It takes me 4 times as long to find the movie or movies I want to watch as it did before the update, and by the time I've scrolled to the end of the list, I've also forgotten what I wanted to watch! This is just as bad as what google has done with their migration of our music libraries from Google Play Music to You Tube music, where you can view one album in YT Music versus 5 or 6 in a row in Google Play music. Having only list view available is terrible for people with large video or music libraries.

    I can can see why users with limited storage space might want to know the size of a downloaded movie (another added feature). However, it's not necessary to include release date, category of movie, "purchased/rented" , or length of movie information on downloaded movies, especially when the additional information reduces the number of downloaded movies you can view at a glance. It's also not necessary to have a huge title line next to the movie icon, or to have a huge "watch" rectangle below the movie icon taking up more valuable viewing space. What was wrong with the little "watch" arrow on the movie icon previously used? PLEASE fix this in future updates.

    However, don't fix this by keeping the extraneous information and making the movie cover icons any smaller; those of us with older eyes would be in even worse shape than now.

    Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new layout. It's very messy and basically not giving me the option to remove all the extra info is annoying as hell.
