What if you already have HDX but get a UHD code?

Sorry if this has been asked, browsed the forum and saw similar but not quite the same question. I haven’t gone too crazy, but I’ve rebought a handful of Blu-rays of favorite movies in UHD/4K that I already had before, thus already have HDX on Vudu. If I put in the new UHD codes will it upgrade the existing movie? Have the same movie in their twice? Do nothing at all and waste my code?

The best advice is to check 4ksheet . com. Generally if you have a 4K code that redeems at Vudu and you already have the HDX version then it should give you the UHD. But there are many exceptions and so forth so check that spreadsheet first.

Okay thanks, never heard of that site but I will check it out! Thanks so much!

And if it does upgrade to UHD, its good chance it doesn't come to front of your list of purchases, it will stay where it was but is upgraded to higher grade. Meaning you will have to go searching for it to see if it did upgrade.

I get a mixed bag. It seems about half of my 4K UHD codes get bumped to top of recent purchases when I already have HDX.

When I redeemed Back To The Future trilogy two went to the top, while one didn't. Not a big deal but kind of annoying.

Weird, BttF trilogy is one thing I want to upgrade.

Same issue with the Resident Evil films.

on FandangoNow 4 of 6 bumped to top.
mom Vudu none bumped to top.

              It’s all so random.

It’s also weird that you can’t purchase an upgrade on FandangoNow, unlike Vudu. But if you purchase it on Vudu or redeem a code on MA it takes.
